actually nevermind sorted
i ftped all my other files over from the 4b4e0022 dir
and left the 50 one on its own before loading PES up and testing the save file. Then after i ftped my other saves over all works pefect ))))

if i get an iso of pro evo 4 on my pc can i insert the files like explained in the ps2 dvd burning topic? or does that not work with xbox, is the only way to put it on my HDD?

You should be able to insert it into an .iso, the files provided are just replacements for the old ones.
I run a burned DVD of PES4 with the x-group 1.2 patch.
Has anyone got any more info on this update? is it really worth downloading if I have the 1.2 version?
And why is DVDtoXbox not copying i_sound.afs? Grrrrrrrr!!
Just to put some of you out of your misery if you are thinking of downloading this patch.
It seems that a few details have been changed, at the moment I am watching Lazio and PSG. The ref has a almost luminous yellow outfit on so I assume that some of the refs kits have been changed, I know that sometimes they may clash with teams playing in white.
I had a look at the editing side and noticed that some boots have been replaced and changed. In 1.2 of the patch you had some real nasty looking yellow Lotto boots, they have been changed to black and white.
Inters home kit is different, once the game was patched Inter went to playing in blue/black striped jersey white shorts and socks. Now Inter are back to their normal black shorts and socks.
Title music is different, edit menu music is different.
I also found that I didn't need to use the provided option file (Phew) I spent hours changing players faces, boots, gloves etc. etc. The thought of losing that grinded a bit but since I haven't lost anything at all i'm well happy.
I may come back and post more changes I notice if anyone is interested. Final note, this patch is not a complete rework. It is a touch up of the previous one.
I hope that the goal nets have gone back to normal.

wolf hook? do these files need renaming? or ar ethe files i am downloading the same (name ) as the one in the original iso (so i can easily go ahead and replace them)

All the same file names mate. Nice and easy to install just overwrite the old ones and away you go.
I went back to version 1.2 but replaced the sound file and replacement video file as I was unhappy about the dutch teams being completely out of touch.

Make sure you have back ups because like me I reckon you will be dissapointed with the Dutch teams.

wolf, are the stats updated or what?
caus ei hate the default stats and hate the way when you edit them tyhey dont go through to master league,
does this groups edit the stats, if not can someone locate a guide then tell mw how to do it myself or is it not possible cause even the dario x file dont update stats.
i really want updated default stats more than anything, i mean its terrible playing with alonso and he cant even driblle.
my finger are crossd that any way i can edit default stats

i played as lfc using the dario x patch and is it me or are most boots blue, i played as lfc and at least 8 of my players had blue boots, it looked weird,
i a gonna go with the x-group patch when it download cause the crowd chants annoy me on darios too

I have just recently installed the Dario X patch and I can now see why everyone thinks it is the best. The intro scene isn't as good as X-Group's.
With the X-Groups patches I found myself adding new footballs and boots but this Dario X patch has pretty much everything I want.
Chrissy_G, I would be wary of putting your e-mail address on here. I made that mistake on a mobile phone forum once and because of the amount of spam e-mails I was getting I had to shut down my e-mail account.
If you want the patches then there is a thread called "all xbox patches here" Its easy to find and has all the torrent files you need. Also at the top of this thread is a link, it has all the files required for X-Group 1.3.
