yea ill join 2,my game tah is TIFFIN nd i play rainbow 6 - black arrow @ da mo but im def gettin pes 4 on xbox 2 play ONLINE!!!!! so ill join def!!!!

Just a question about this rule:
I think the tourny is more exciting if you play one round a day, just like the real Champions League.
Apart from that, the match for this tournament should be the most important match of the day and you should be sharp then. If you rush all matches a day, you may not be sharp when you play the last rounds.
Do you mean we should rash the whole group the same day?

Im glad im getting a bit of help here, i was thinking maybe all four leagues could play say maybe 2-3 matches a week. Matches could say, be played over the weekernd (1 on saturday 2 on sunday) or maybe even a midweek one, if you have missed a match.
After people who finished 3rd - 6th qualify for the knockout round sit will get simpler.
For example the first knockout round - all games will be played on the same weekend
then the weekend after there would be the quater finals, then the weekend after that the semi finals then the week after that the FINAL itself.
That is just a sugestion, it seems pretty fair to me, but if you think otherwise then please say so.
As for keeping sharp, well there are other people online, and you may play FRIENDLIES against people from the forum or anybody. But as one of the rules ive decided on so far is that on the Day of a match you cannot have a Friendly against your opponent.

I was reading up on xbox live and the starter kit and the xbox site says you need a credit card to sign up, would a switch card be ok instead of something like Mastercard or Visa?

About the friendlies thing. Would you be able to play friendlies against other people(not your opponent) on matchdays?

Apart from that, you can start over the tournament over and over again. So if you play the whole tournament in just 3 days or so, the winner is only champion for three days. Playing the tournament over more days makes the champoins-title more valueble.
I think there should be a way to contact your opponent. For that reason I think everybody should give an email-address where to reach the opponent to set a time (and maybe day) to play.....

Han, i think a tournament like this will last alot more than 3 days to be honest, more like over the sapce of a few weeks! just playing a few matches a week should be fine, but yer it it all goes well then we could do it again yes.

As for setting up an xbox live League on Xbox live may be pretty tricky, sure the new 3.0 setting are great but they limit you o what you can do and also dont think they are really what we are looking for at the moment

Matt, I just read the rules on the site. How come two players can't use the same team? It happens in the PES National League.
Also, I think you should specify on things like substitutions and when they can be used, when the game can be paused etc. Is it necessary to use the Finale or if both players agree could the Pelias or Roteiro be used?

Switch/Solo wont work.

just want to get back on the Manual vs Auto thing
1. Manual = in terms of player/cursor selection
2. Manual = Att/Def level (blue/ green/orange/red bar) mentality
concerning number 2. I suggest rule is this should strictly be set to manual...because I have played games against mates/cousins and have noticed huge trends/differences in results
now Im no master when it comes to PES/WE but my mates/cousins hardly play the game and struggle on 3-4 * let alone 5 *...for example my cousin is automatic no tactics plays players out of position all the way and Im manual
he goes beats me 3-1 , 2-0, 4-1 now my pride dented, frustrated, all those hours of practise beating the game on 5* were down the drain
so I make him switch to manual for both player change and Att/Def level and what do u know the smile on his face is gone my streak is currently at 20 beating him 3-0, 4-0, 5-1
so he tells me why dont we both play on auto...so just to prove a point I play him on auto with my players on green and his on orange ....he could only manage a 2-2 draw while the rest were wins for me
my point is that Auto settings help players and the COM has great influences on results between good/excellent players and average/crap players
If you dont think it makes a difference then try it against someone you will notice a trend and pattern in results try it against the COM on 5*
