Well that's a thing, Magazines have exclusive right to get information directly from game makers earlier than their press conferences. Konami has officialy confirmed to Official Xbox Magasine that PES on X-box WILL be LIVE. It's in latest August '04 issue.

Let`s wait and see :). Even if PES4 for X-BOX would offer an online play, only people from Europe could play it since the game is on PAL format. A chipped X-BOX won`t allow you to play online or x-box live. Microsoft has built in firewalls that will automaticly ban you from the servers.

to be honest there is about 75% chance that PES4 will be on LIVE. there have been tons of rumours, semi-confirmations frm magazine, and interviews with konami devs that have said they are very interested in XBOX Live. all this points to PES4: LIVE but will just have to wait and see. Milosh can you please post a scan of the australian OXM magazine???

Ive not only seen it in mags but on several websites, everywhere ive looked almost has told me its going to be online enabled! Plus ive heard it off other people i know!

Guys the bottom line is PS2 isn`t powerful enough to handle WE/PES being playable online. Why do you think we have slowdowns in WE8 and other minor bugs. ? When PS3 gets released then you can kiss goodbye your X-BOX.

Just to add one more thing. I do not trust Konami as well, I don't know whether people remember but Konami had announced for PES3 and WE7 having online option for downloading updates etc... Was that feature in PES3??? I don't think so.

It is nonsense talking about this at all, it would be great great great if it is going to be online, but if it doesn't, it is still awesome to have PES on xbox. It is really important to expand the game on other systems. Too bad there's no Game Cube version this year...

Pardon :), do not forget us Australians and New Zealanders to include in PAL region. There's big market here you know, not just in Europe :)

OK, Let me clear things up.

NOTHING has been confirmed. It is NOT confirmed that PES4 will be online yet. Magazines printing that information are purely speculating. HOWEVER, I am confident the game WILL be online. Watch this (or more appropriatley the main page) space for updates.

Did they say anything about system link anywhere, cuz i cant think of a sports game that has system link ... mainly shooters i thought. I just can't imagine it being system link-enabled.
