PES5 breaking my PC

i bought and installed a copy of PES5 for the Pc and when i play it, it seems like its destroying my PC. when i play in full screen mode, after about 5 mins or so, my screen goes all funny, i get these geometric shapes floating about and i have to restart the computer to get rid of it. when i play in window-mode, its ok, i dont get it but after about 7mins or so, it automatically shuts down my computer. it was ok with PES4 but with PES5 (demo and the fullgame), these problems come about.

ive got an ati mobility radeon 9700, athlon 3400, 1gb ram laptop..

any help would be much appreciated.

pes 5 shut down my computer earlier but it only happened once. and on the demo version i was getting wierd fuzzy shapes appearing on the pitch.
just tweak your graphics and turn them down to medium, and when you are playing make sure that you have no other programs running such as firewalls, kazaa etc. make sure internet pages are turned off and turn msn off. just things will run smoother if you free up more memory.download these and other programs that will help optimize you pc. check this guide out

You should be fine mate.

I have a x600 mobility, 512mb ram, 3.2g p4 laptop and it runs no problem, full spec full res. Sounds like it could be the drivers for your card. If you cant update your drivers with ATI then here is a little tool to do it.
http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/ download the program on here and download the latest catalyst drivers, follow the instructions and you will have the latest catalyst drivers. Just make a system restore point before you do it so if there are any problems you can go into safe mode and roll back. Ive had no problems and neither have any mates who have done it. The X600 is the 9700 in a different dress so it should be fine.

Also make sure you have latest directX installed and you should be away

It will be because your machine is over heating I would think. Turn down the graphic settings and it should be OK as that won't be so demanding on your computer. Either that or have another fan installed.
