I think I can shed some light on this. How? cos I work for Royal mail, hehe. Right Jersey post comes to Mount pleasent sorting office in central London (where I work) as a bulk shipment of orders. When Play 'despatch' your order it means it has left from their end. Within a day it will be at my place. Before it leaves for regional Post offices around the country, it needs to be tipped, sorted, and despatched from our end to your part of the coutnry (wherever that may be)
Play packages are treated as SECOND CLASS, usually sorted in the early hours of the morning or late at night. For example if it was despatched this morning from Play, arrived later in the evening at my place, then the likelyhood is that it may or may not get sorted and out of the building. If it does get sorted and leaves by tonight, then it will get to the regional office tomorrow morning. Then it all depends how quickly they can get it out over there, if it makes the delivery and into the postman's sack, then you could get yours tomorrow morning. That is however the best case scenario. Unfortunately first class mail takes priority and the second class it left on the sidelines until the night staff or early guys get in. Thats why play suggest 3-5 days, as their kind of guideline. 2 days at best, 3 days most of the time and 4 or 5 days depending on how much second class has got out. and how its also treated in the regional offices.
SO if yours was despatched from Play yesterday then it could possibly be with you tomorrow, if not then most likely friday (release day) Some of you who may be unlucky, could be saturday, and remember. NO POST ON SUNDAY!
hope this helps.
