OK! i was playing the match on on-line then what...so often it gave me lost connexion about 5-6 match on 10..and after i'm log in back it took my points...because of connexion loss...any idee why?..i didn't even think to quite the match but why it's so often like this?:(

is this said improve about the pes5?i don't think so..still crap if it still doing these problem...I hate it...!:realmad:

modems speeds usually cnt keep up or
they could be downloading while playin or vice versa

people forget that their upload speeds are a fraction of their downloadin speeds most modems are uploading around 50kp ish unless your on 10mb but even then its still a fraction of the download speed

loadsa reasons only happened to me once and i got the points for it

I was playing a game tonight, 1-0 at half time. At the start of the second half (his kick off) nothing happened, I waited, it started to count down 5...4...3...2...1....0 then nothing, it just froze, I could see the guy was still there he was frantically changing his statergies as I was mine, but nothing, waited a few minutes then had to disconnect, gutted or what, checked my stats and it was down as a 0-3 naturally.

Just a suggestion, if some of you guys are playing PES5 online via your boardband via a router. Make sure the port 5739(not sure about the port number, but it will be stated in your PES5 setting screen at the start menu) is forwarded to your PC's local IP address... hope it works for u!

I cannot join people's rooms as almost every time the second half starts (me hosting, I presume?) I lose connection to the server and get a 3-0 against me. It's happened so many times now it's doing my head in.

If I host the room (and the first half) it's fine.

Anyone know what the problem here might me? I'm not a n00b by the way, so obvious stuff like port forwarding is all taken care of.

Phew...i thought there was something wrong with my conneciton. But this obviously happens to others as well.

Happened to me this morning, was playing a game and it was second half. I was 2-0 up and he had just scored 1 back. At kick off, i could only see half the screen/pitch. I then pressed X and the countdown began. It went to 0 and after about 2 minutes of freezing it said 'the connection was lost'.

I frantically pressed triangle to get back to the lobby and see if it would count as my 3-0 yet again (for the 9th time altogether), and sure enough, it did.

Hey! i've had this problem once - playing and then connection lost in the 2nd half...was 0-0.

But got the points for me - 3-0 the score

It sometimes disconnects for no reason but, if i connect it directly it works fine. I have windowsupdates off, no firewall and im not downloading anything.
Could it be my router? I have sitecom dc-202

i posted this in the Old Man Online Hcocker thread. thought this a a guys way of winning games - looks like a may be wrong....

Some cheeky bastard cheated me last night. Played him and he had a record like won 30 lost 8. Saw a chance for some big points. He took an age to sort his formation and stuff out before the game. We went to the kick off screen and the timer counted down to 0, and he just stood there. I pressed some buttons - nothing.

After 30 seconds I thoughht that maybe this is how he wins his games. He gets a match, doesnt kick off andf waits for the opponent to disconnect. not me though buddy, I can sit it out with the best of them - I have 2 kids afterall - it makes a man you see.

So I went and got a drink, came back and still not kicked off. Afetr about 5 miutes the game flashed up that it has been diconnected. Justice - BACKDOOR wins. auto 3-0 to me.

BUT NO..... Checked the game record and it says I disconnected and that he won the game 3-0. WHAT THE F'K? i was fucking livid. I have blocked him but am really pissed off that I have a disconnect on my stats and a defeat. Anyone else heard of this sort of thing?

The only thing that stopped me destroying the house was thrashing familymahone in the Scandanavian Clash of The Titans

I have had this mate, not sure if it is deliberate though, I had it with a guy I have played many times before and since and it was just a one off, I was 1-0 up and it went down as 0-3 against, it however froze on the countdown for second half. So I think it is more probable a technical issue. I guess he would have to reprogram something to get it to create this sort of problem.

yeah, having read all the other comments on this it looks like a bug or something. Has only happened to me once in 60 games. Still f'ing annoying!

It is annoying but I wouldn't bother playing for points, it is a waste of time, if you look at the top boys they have played around 600 games already and clearly have the time to maintain playing vasts amounts of games, so semi pros will never be able to catch up, plus most of division 1 players are terrible players in a footballing sense, the higher the rank the worst they seem to be!

Just happened me there now, was start of 2nd half of extra time when it froze at kick-off. Could change strategies on screen like the other guy but could do nothing else. I was tempted to leave the ps2 on all night but being the gentleman I am - I pulled the cord. Thats 2 disconnects in 2 days for me, I'm starting to get concerned.

i had a lot of trouble with disconnects...
almost 25,with only 1 or 2 being "voluntary"...
However,things got very better when i opened my router's 5739 port...
I knew that the pc version uses this port,however i tried it on PS2 and the results were good...
only one disconnect since then...

however,i am not sure if that improvement has really to do with opening that specific port...
