Fact is the game is coming out earlier....

I spoke to the guy who I buy games from and he said definately October 15. and he is saying it should be out maybe a couple of days before... so it isn't quite as long of a wait (better than Oct. 28)...

I posted this in the other PES5 released early thread.

My Cousin works in the HMV in the Bullring, he told today that around about 7,000 copies of PES5 could be released on Friday 9th September, if not they WILL be released in the UK before the official release date. He told me the reason for this is because last year over 1,000 copies got stolen whilst them being delivered to stores around the UK a few days before they where due to be sold to the public, that’s why last year PES4 was on sale 1 or 2 day's before the official release date in some stores, due to the stolen copies being sold on the street. Konami informed HMV about this, obviously because they don't want it to happen again. So i guess they last year, the copies where probably stolen from HMV.

I brought PES4 on the Thursday (1 Day before the release) from GameStation last year and I asked why has it been released a day early and they told me the exact same thing about copies of the game being stolen and sold on the street, so they where told to sell the game earlier.

So if it is not in HMV this Friday, I suggest you keep checking if you really want it before the official date.

If you don't belive me fair enough, just wait and see what happen's.

Places like Glasgow and Manchester and more or less wherever there is a HMV. Oxford street mate, you gotta be there.

Hmm, 10,000 isn't going to stretch very far across every HMV store if in fact it's true.

Knowing the retail industry myself, this smells like bullshit.

Well no shit mate. The point is it's a teaser not a full release

This is pure fantasy, mate. HMV could land themsevles in all sorts of legal trouble.

Anyway isn't that what demo's are for, teasing?

Due to the circumstances HMV have been allowed to release the full game a little early (the limited copies I mean).

In return they have to keep very low key and charge an extra £10, as Konami don't want thousands of complaints and queues getting out of hand.

Perfectly understandable I'd say.

I was'nt to sure about all this jazz of the 9th September release but after heading down there and having a little chat with the branch manager (old friend of mine) it seems it will be released this friday the 9th, its just on low key.

I will be getting mine the night before thanks to Louis Castaldo erm.... i mean John Smith. Well, he aint gonna know I am on this forum so he wont see me telling anyway.

Technically speaking, no, it probably isn't worth it.
Would rather play a newly patched version of PES4 and wait three weeks, than pay £50 for a PS2 game...

This situation seems to be getting more bizarre with every passing hour !! First it's out on the 9th then it's not etc etc and there's a fire !! and you have to pay more !!
Don't get me wrong I'll be in HMV on Friday to see if I can get a copy but I'd be surprised if I do.....
