Im actually gonna be off college on the 9th so i may nip into town and ask around GAME and HMV! Ill just wander up to the desk and ask if they've any copies of Pro Evo 5 in! If they do i shall buy and if they don't i shall either try the other store or wait till october ;)

Much will it cost? £30-£40?

Im not having this! surely this is just crap, trust me if its true im there but i am extremely sceptical that PES5 is coming out a month and half before its expected release date

Ok, I was in manchester today so went to the big HMV store on Market Street, they person that I talked to said that they were taking pre-orders for PES5 and it is due out on 4th November. Told him about the rumours of a limited early release and he said that this was not possibly and he also checked the release schedule for all of this week and there he said there was nothing on there about getting PES5 stock in this week.

This is all balls. Where is the proof? The Konami Europe press-release?

Because of this I went round quite a few places I know, during my lunchbreak. And lo and behold, no-one knows anything about this supposed Fri September 7th release.

Whoever started this obviously needs the attention.

I will join in by telling what I heard from a friend that works at a games store here in Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

He told me that he will receive the game here in the Netherlands on tuesday 27 September 2005.

Just told a mate who loves the games as much as me, we made plans to go in town on friday about 8ish or so,if i do however sleep in he's gonna pick up 2 copies! If we get them we're just gonna be in heaven :D

If by some amazing chance it's true, then I would wager a guess that I'd be able to get a copy about 11am.
I mean, if you have to walk up to the counter and ask if they have copies, its not that popular a game round here, everyone apart from my school is back and so, I think they'd still have at least 1 out of 15 copies :)

But that's if its true?

It is still scheduled for its original release!
No GAME store can sell this before the date, i have been into the GAME,HMV and GAMESTATION in Brighton with my cousin who works for OPSM!
They have said it is an internet rumour and there is no truth to this!!
They may release the PSP version early though,still waiting for confirmation though!!

Is it not obvious what is going on??? There is no way that Konami will release the game earlier than mid-october. The idea of this 'rumour' is to get people caught up in PesFever before the games actual release. The idea has obviously been started by Konami to hype up the game as much as possible and to get as many people talking about Pes5 as possible. REMEMBER THAT FIFA 2006 COMES OUT 30/09/05. And Fifa no matter how crappy is still competition for Pro Evo!

Think about it, what is the point of releasing the game a month and a half earlier than expected to only 10,000 people??? All that would do is piss off the majority of PesFans who didnt get the game and increase the amount of copied game around. Anyone who says they work in GAME, HMV, GAMESTATION etc is talking bollox.

I wud love you all to be right cause i am fed up of waiting but seriously...b ready on the 21st October a week early....not 9th Sept
