Yes you must replace the existing file for it to work mate.

EDIT***Ah i see youve tried that and didnt replace the existing option file?

Have you just installed the game? if so that will be why there is no option file, you need to load the game..once you have created your name it will create an option file, which you can then overwrite with the downloaded one.

Either way,i think just putting in there anyway would work without replacing

the file comes as a zip file! do i need to extract the superpatch.exe thing to the save, folder 1?

Its ok, it is'nt always straight forward as we would hope at times.

If you mean the option file yeah put in your save folder 1, not the actual winzip file but the option file in the zip file, if you know what i mean

just out of curiosity! wot is thispatch supposed to have! cos some of the kits are messed up eg spanish teams and the PES shop stuff is not unlocked! which is wot i really want

any help is appreciated

Did you install ALL the files on the download page?

The text files - part 4 is on page 2 of this thread - on the main link for some reason it is part 3.

Make sure you have all the files downloaded and installed correctly.

yeah

i downloaded all the files!

i extracted the i_sound and 0_sound ones to program files, konami......dat file

i did the same with the i_text files

the bit where u had to download all 4 files: part one when i click it opens up some installer, which is in german, i clicked ok! have i done that bit worng? wot do i need to do to correct it!

listen to me this is the 21st century and i cant even use my own computer!!! lol

You seem to have done everything right and make sure you have part 4off page 2!

I posted the below on page 2 of this thread:-

For those struggling, what i did is extract all the downloaded files into my PES 5 folder in 'program files' apart from the option file, insert the option file in to 'My Documents'/Konami/PES5/save/folder 1/option file and replace the original option file with the new.

Then go over to your PES5 folder in program files where you should have put all the downloaded files from hear.

Simply open up Superpatch_21[1].o.part 1, that will install everything for you...simple.

I dont know if theres difference between Winzip or Winrar, but i use Winrar as much simpler to use.

I may get corrected on some of the above, but that is how i did it and works perfect.

Nearly forgot, dont forget to replace the existing PES5.exe with the downloaded one, else will not work!

hey i did everything u described (must apprecitaed walkthrough by the way) and i still dont have pes shop stuff unlocked!

just so i know, when u extracted those 4 files to the pes 5 folder, did u just have one 0_text file appear? and when i click on the file it opens up my DKZ editor ! is it supposed to do that?

it'll be the best patch if it doesn't make some mistakes .Forexample: the colour of fields, they are very dark and don't like real field !!! i think the ogrinal fields are better.

why does pes 5 shut down when i'm starting a match? is it cause that i have not installed alla sound files?

When home tonight il check on my computer Re: the text file to double check what files i have there.

From memory you should have all downloaded files sitting in the PES 5 folder (in program files) apart from the option file which as you did goes to the save folder 1.

Regarding the pes shop i cant remember if thats locked or unlocked, again il check when home from work.

Snoopy,

Ive just checked and all downloaded files are in the konami folder in program files, as originally said.

Regarding the PES shop being unlocked, nope not included in patch (which im glad about!)

Guys
I have done everything as stated.
Once I replace all the files except the 0_text one, the game runs great. But once I replace the 0_text for the superpatch one, the game crashes once I `start match`. What am I doint wrong? I have uninstalled kitserver but still no luck. I have also replaced my option file with the one in the patch. Help. Thanks
