well sounds like you have patched perfectley as the game actually starts if you had done it wrong or fucked up at any part the game would simply not work.hmmm really have not got a clue but some news for you despite haveing wasted a number of discs I was reading on evo web that wemerica is ready to release v4 sometime this week I would wait for that new world cup kits the new tunit boot's sorry I can't be of any more help but if I think of anything i'll post.

Thanks, but I burned on 2X to start with and exactly the same thing happened as this time.

Argh!! I have done all the steps for patching my game up to the point where i burn the ISO image onto my DVD.

I tried using the trial version of Alcohol 120% but the max size i can burn onto a dvd is 128 MB while the ISO is 2,000 MB... I then tried using nero but it said i have to use a CD, it wouldnt let me use my DVD-R. My next step after reading your guides was to try dvd decrypter.. I tried this and at the bottom of the DVD Decrypter window it said "medium not found" i just dont know what to do!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you don't have a DVD burner. Check the disc burner specs.

On the front cover of my Hewlet Packard Computer the CD Drive cover states "hp cd-writer / dvd"

Is that not a dvd burner???

I also noticed that when i bring out the disc tray, it had the DVD rom image on it.

My computer is HP and the DVD writer says DVD+-writer/CD-Writer on the drive, so yours will write CDs but only play DVD not burn them.

heisler unless it says DVD burner or DVD writer then it can't burn DVDs. You can get some for cheap on ebay. I got mine for £50!!!

Is there anything i need to look for spec. wise when buying a dvd burner?

Im seeing tons with 16x burn, is taht the burn speed? Dont i want to burn the patch at like 1x or 4x?

I'm fairly new to patching and very much looking forward to the WEmerica Ole Project V4 patch.

A couple of quick questions. The 'new' stadiums included in the patch - do they overwrite the default stadiums or are they extra stadiums? (i assume they overwrite?) Secondly is there any way of using different stadium packs? As i will lose some of my favourite stadiums in the v4 update (eg Mestalla, Stadio Olympico and St james' Park) I liked the stadium line-up in the v2 patch better. is there a fix for this?

the stadiums overwrite the others stadiums and maybe some of the stadiums you like will be lost but the stadiums in this pack are great the istanbull final stadium is in this one and all of the others are top class banners chant's and pictures for all different stadiums it really is the dog's bollocks.

You need to be able to burn at the slowest speed possible, so 1X or 2X is ok.
$40 is about the lowest I would go. make sure it is a decent make like pioneer or sony.
