Just got back from the PES 6 showcase in Oxford Street HMV...

It was actually quite good I thought. They had about 4-5 booths running next gen PES on the demo machines. You could pick any teams in the game which I thought was great and there was an edit mode. The Bundesliga is defo not included though however as I saw nothing except Bayern.

I am a PS2 player and I was abit disappointed that there were no PS2 demos as that is what I wanted to see the most. But saying that I was quite impressed by the next gen graphics and the presentation of the whole event. There was a main game area right at the back of the store that had a LARGE screen showing the FMV of the game and a load of flat screen samsung monitors. Nice...:cool: They were providing tournament style competitions here with prizes (I bagged a football and 2 t-shirts; quite chuffed really!) I got knocked out in the semis but had fun still. The winners got some cool hoodies though which was a good look... No 360s up for grabs though! Bobby Zamora made an appearance and played a few people too... Great for me as i'm a hammers fan! :w00t

I had the opportunity to browse through the edit mode and the stats looked to me as being JUST like WE11. Danielle DeRossi looked like a great mid-fielder with improved stats and great ability stars (or ticks in X-box stylee), which was the case for all the Italians aka my man Pirlo...

To sum up the event it was great really. The turn out was quite low because of the weather but at least it meant that only true devotees made the trip. I wish Konami did more of these kind of events. They allow meetings with like-minded PES heads and promote the game. Any questions just ask...:happy:

What else was in edit mode, did you look at kit editing? Anyway i'm so jealous of you, being a 360 owner would have loved to gone, but it's a bit far when you live Huddersfield! :tongue: Thanks for the info mate.

Sorry about the green eyes mate... Well, like I said before these things should happen all over the UK like a Konami tour bus or something that would have been something. I was rather under pressure though as people were waiting so I only looked at stats. But I would place my steak dinner on the fact that aslong as there is an edit mode you could edit the kits. I mean that is what PES is all about... Abit of fun with the old editing and that. The game will not dissappoint the huddersfield crew dem! I'm sure of that!:dribble:

I went too Magono :D Got to say I was stock in Nike town till the rain stopped so I didnt make it in time to sign up to play in the small torney :(. I did get to play PES6 though and got to say I enjoyed it, I was shocked just how much they have slowed the game down, and you definely gonna have to re learn how to shoot again. Also im not sure if its still in development, but the kits lacked some details and the player models looked VERY shiny, also it has that exagerated stuck creasing on shirts which looked a bit tacky, except for that the graphics were alright nothing mind blowing or truly next gen, I would go as far as to say FIFA 07 360 looks quite a bit better.

Also I think I saw Zygalski but didnt have the nerve to ask. The guy looked similar to a pic that was up before but with short hair, he also won quite a few games and one torney, and the person (if he is zyg) played bobby for a little while untill he had some Pr publicity to do.

It was also cool how no one was phased that bobby was thier, no screaming and asking for autographs, well at least when I was thier (I left around 5:40) I was just completly soaked couldnt be bothered to stay any longer.

No psp or ps2 versions to play because of the fact its also an Xbox promotion event. The controls have been changed from what you use if you play pes5 on your 360 and I was very fustrated by the changes and had to switch back.

EDIT: The new intro movie is fucking sweet, the best by far.

regarding the edit mode you ever thought that konami just didnt put it in the version that was on show, afterall it is a promotional event is it not.

Seen. I was surprised it was there though if i'm honest. I was just thinking in one of the promo games Bobby Zamora beat this BBC jounalist lady 6-0 (West-Ham vs London FC)! Hat-Trick for Tevez and a brace for Zamora... The event will be shown on Football Focus on BBC1 next Sat apparently.

wrathchild_uk this is if you play PES5 on your 360, like me. What happened with the 360 controller is they moved white button to LB button and RB button was the black button. The triggers did exactly what they did on the xbox version.

But now they have changed it to the opposite, and now the triggers what the RB and LB buttons did. Its a mess to use (for me)
