I am being a bit of a wanker and I was wondering if anyone can help me? I want to increase the volume of a track in Nero Wave Editor but I cannot remember how. Anybody now? I have gone into Volume and Volume change, increased the volume and listened to the louder track, but when I go back, the track is the same volume. Any ideas?

Hi mate, all my newly replaced tracks are smaller than the originals and not bigger. But to be honest when I use AFSExplorer as apposed to Dkz Studio, there's no problem and the ISO can be updated.

Just saw this thread.

I was planning on updating my guide. But I probably won't get the free time until sometime later next month if some of you are willing to wait.

For the mean time though, you can just use this thread to post your findings here. I can answer some of your questions too.

Cheers Ko_nami your pes5 tutorial may as well be for pes6, it's come in handy along with mumpleaser's helpful info. Don't understand why you need to copy the 0_TEXT file though? I thought the O_SOUND file was all you needed.

Where does it say about the O_TEXT? If I wrote that at any point it is just a mistake as I must have meant O_SOUND.

Because the Edit Mode Menu music is located in the 0_TEXT.AFS file in PES5. I'm not sure if it's the same for PES6 but I will be checking it out soon.

Yes as already documented on this thread, the edit-mode menu music can be found in O_SOUND in PES6.

You know how Man U and Chelsea etc have their own chants, is there a way you can modify it so that they no longer have them anymore and instead link them to other teams? I play as Everton alot and have already got some recorded terrace chants, but I don't just want to place them over any old chant file, as sometimes I'll want to play as England and other teams, and wouldn't want to hear Everton chants then. If I could swap one of the teams with independent chants then I would only hear the chants when playing as Everton, which would be perfect. Any ideas folks?

I played my first patched PES last night, it is so much better with the edited music...Cheers for the help.

I'm not sure how you would go about doing something like that.

I'm quite certain that chants for specific teams has something to do with the engineering of the audio piece and the location of the file.

It looks to me like it can't be done by one person alone.

Damn that's a shame, would've been great. I'll have a look over on Pesfan see if they know if it can be done...

Nope...Nobody knows if/how it can be done. :crymore:

I suppose I can either throw in the Everton chants and just put up with them being heard no matter which team I play as, or just use generic chants that could be used for any old team and wouldn't seem out of place.

This can be done. There is a patch for this, because there are free slots in the 0_sound.afs, you can remap the chants for Everton to one of these free slots after you put a chant in this free slot.

I have come across a new problem, however, there are 2 slots for the entrance music, just before the match starts when the players walk out.
Does anyone know if they are for 2 different type of matches?
eg. Important and un-important matches

That is music to my ears mate. It sounds awkward to pull off and a short tutorial would be great if you could do one, I'm not too familiar with this editing malarki. But seriously if you're right then I'm sure people would enjoy hearing their club chants when playing with them, I know I would. :w00t

As for the two entrance music slots, I'm not sure if each is for a different occasion, all I do know is that one is slighty longer in length than the other. Like you say one might be for important matches the other unimportant. Maybe one of the other guys can confirm this.

Any idea where I can find an AFS map for O_SOUND that shows where all the chants for all the teams are?

Thank you.

123gamer321 you either need to buy Swapmagic or get your PS2 modded to be able to do this, Max Drive is for things like option files. PES6.ISO is the name of the games 'image' once you've ripped it with something like DVD Decrypter, it contains all the game data.
