you will defo have to randomly select the teams but i dont know how, is it just gonna be prem teams or internationl, or whatever?

EDIT: As far as picking teams go, should we have a raffle of somesort for the elite teams - doesn't seem fair if someone is playing as Barcélona, Inter, Chelsea or Real and someone else as, say Bordeux? In a nut shell around 3 or 4 of us will have unfair advantages over the rest,

EDIT 2: Just thought of a great idea, seeing as 20+ people will probably sign up, we're probably better off doing something along the lines of a club knockout tornament, where people can pick anyteam, no matter which continent for example Sao Paulo or River Plate amongst the European teams.

I dont mind being lower teams ( I support Man City - so i'm used to seeing them lose :) ) as long as its prem only cos then its kinda realistic. If i have to play Man City versus AC mIlan its a bit much. But bring on villa, Newcastle and most others in the Prem.....

So i vote for Prem only and everyone diff teams.... If theres another Man City fan .... I'll have Bolton, they're doing better than City:)

garston_reds - The tornament won't start for a while, because I won't be sorting the teams out untill after Friday.

johnny_on - I was going to do Premiership but theres 23 people signed up, therefore at the moment theres 3 people without teams...

I was going to do first come first serve on Premiership teams, but seeing as theres to many people now I think what I'll do is:

Tornament based on the Champions League (only one leg in knockout stages though) where it is first come first serve to pick whatever team you want to be (except Internationals)

Anyone got a better idea?

Yeh u gota do random, but you also have to have the big teams in there, so what if someone gets Real Madrid!? Thats the way it goes in real life, big teams play small teams. I for one would be excited if I was Man City coming up against Arsenal, would have a good desire to win then!

I like that idea. But when would we start choosing teams etc? When PES6 comes out?

Also if you did choose to do the random team selection thing, you might want to film it to prove people got that team, so theres no sore losers. :)

I'm more then happy to do it random, It's just I'm going to have to get 32 teams together to please everyone so if someone would do that for me and everyone thinks the teams there are good enough then I'll randomly put the players and teams together.

Cuckooo - that idea is a first come first serve basis, in which it isn't random... And I'd prefer that way because I can see people complaining about what team they get if I do it randomly.

We should of just done a British cup. All the premiership teams and Rangers and Celtic, only 22 I know, but someone will either drop out or never log on again.

my opinion,get 32.choose the top 32 teams on the game,give them numbers frm 1 to 32,and ask ppl the number they wud want to be,askin the 1st person who signed up 1st of course.another suggestion is 4 u to do a random selection right the team dwn as no.1 dont tell any1 who it is,another random selection,no.2 all the way to 32 in the comfort of ur own home,and then again ask ppl the number they want to be!

we did this at college with the wrld cup,i choose 11 and got italy!won £40 since they won the thimng!!!!

GD IDEA OR NOT???

ul also have to randomly arrange the opponents in the tournemant and ensure that both participants are available at the same time.if u need a hand with ought jus ask!

personally i feel u shud choose random teams frm absolutley anywhere.so it cud be iran vs madrid.brazil vs man city.i rekon tht wud be fun.the thing is if sum1 draws a crap team such as reading,not sayin there crap but on the game they are,then they are the underdog and if they go onto win it then we know they have some real pes skills,specially if they knock sum masisve teams out.its jus havin random and crap vs gr8 meks it a little better 4 me,as it will be a game of tactics,wud the worse team have to play defensive,hope to nick one on the counrter,hold out 4 pens?all out attack?better i feel!

Ok this is how it's going to happen- Everyone who has signed up nominates one team (their favourite or the one they'd most want to be, but don't repeat one already said) then once the 32 signed up players have all nominated a team each, they are the 32 teams in the tornament, and from that I randomly list then numerically and everyone then picks a number from 1-32 to choose the team.

Once we have 32 players signed up is when I will create a new thread for everyone to nominate a team foward - do not do this now!
