Pes6 = Too Fast

OK, they must be coming directly to PES6 after playing PES5. I have been playing PES5, Fifa 2007 and now PES6.

So, this proves the theory. You should adjust yourself to one game and then compare it to the real football in order to adapt to it.[of course, only if you get adapted to this game]. I think if you did play PES5 and then PES6 directly, you wouldn't face such a feeling (I didn't use the word "problem", because I find no problem).

Fifa 07 is by far the better game when it comes to gameplay speed and the animations when the players run, jog and sprint with the ball are also far superior. Its a shame that Fifa 07 very bad in all other departments such as shooting and passing.

PES gameplay is far mor superior than Fifa gameplay, generally. Pay your attention to the palyers height and body shape in PES6 and Fifa07 and you'll notice the difference. I even hear a bloke who usually says that the palyers in Fifa07 look like apes.......

Indeed, this is why people say FIFA has the graphics and PES has the gameplay. You will get used to it after a while though.

What has become very clear tho is the fact that most people base their PES6 experience solely on the predecessor (PES5). I think this is a very bad thing. What do you think?

What graphics are you talking about broly !!!!! Try the replay in any of the PES series and in the Fifa series, and then check the players faces and their facial expressions and then contact me.............

Yes but Fifa has three different gameplay speed settings. Even the fastest Fifa setting is not as ridiculous as the PES6 speed.

At the end, we are customers and need to enjoy the football game, that's why we pay money to buy it. Therefore, If anyone finds it not like what he really imagined, so he change the football game he used to play.
We aren't Konami fans, we are real football fans..............

I don't know, i suppose that's what they would do after playing PES year in and year out. I've played FIFA 07 for awhile inbetween WE10 and PES6 however, but still FIFA is lacking. I don't know how to describe it, but FIFA feels like you're playing on ice, PES offers alot more control in terms of handling the ball. Sure some animation can be bad, but the game just fits together really well, you can do better things with the ball, and matches don't feel samey like in FIFA.

It takes time to get used to it however, but from what i've played PES6 main improvements come from the shooting, passing, and goalkeeping. The speed may be a little fast for you, but knocking the ball about and the flow of the matches are as excellent as ever.

Okay, I have nothing to say now. But, finally, I advise you to play PES6 more and we'll see and If you have the same point of view, so I hope you enjoy your Fifa07...........

lol, i'm talking about animations, not textures. Such as the way the players move and shoot. Both are good, but FIFA has the edge in animations. Of course, PES textures make FIFA's look comical.

Okay, regarding the players, do you mean their styles during shooting and passing or how do they look during the match?

For FIFA i think the passing and shooting style looks a bit more realistic over PES. For PES i think the graphics such as players faces, kits, etc, look alot better over FIFA's wax dummies. ;)

I disagree with you. I won't argue too much, just try to count the number of chip shoots in PES and its realism and that of Fifa as an example. The only thing that I like in Fifa07 gameplay is passing especially the short one......

Okay, i know PES has alot more unique animations, which in turn make them better - but FIFA'S mo-capped animations do look very realistic. Too bad the same can't be said about FIFA's gameplay.

The only thing I like in fifa is the gameplay speed and the speed/animaion of the players when running or just moving with the ball. Everything else - PES if far better.

You have to take a step back from PES. Once you do this you will see that it is too arcadey and less like a simulation. This is why just about every pro videogames reviewer calls PES an arcadey game. Go back and play ISS Pro or ISS Pro 98. They should start again from here.

LOL, no need i'm meeting 'bass tomorrow for coffee.

His argument will be ' the fans want more attacking football'. I'll tell him that the best form of offence is a good defence.

So, do you want me to understand that we have another Italian football style fan in an indirect way...;)

Totally. I like Roma. I am a Leeds Utd fan - the reason we were successful in europe in 2000 - 2002 was because we played like a continental side. We could not counter attack like most Premiership teams, but when we played sides such as AC Milan, Lazio and Barcelona in the Champions League particularly, we were very similar to them so we were quite successful.

If you look at the top Premiership sides they all play counter attack very well. Man Utd have been doing it superbly for a decade, Arsenal do it with Henry and formerly with Reyes, Chelski do it with Robben.

Glad to hear that you are a Roma fan, a decent team without a doubt.
Also I like Leeds Utd of 2000-2002. They had a lot of good and well organized players and a good coach, as well.

I think that as what you've said " the good offence starts from the good defence". So I do not think that its a matter of counter attack only. It needs an intelligent coach, who knows the abilities of his players, also it needs good players, as well and enthusiasm to connect all of this in one united team.
