Instead of creating another useless thread I thought I would post my opinions here.

- Decent game, I wouldnt say its the best but its much better than PES5, doesnt seem that slow but is enjoyable after a while, and thank god Konami have sorted out the goal nets, perfection may I say, << thats just me I have the horn for goal net movements.

What was wrong with the movement of the goal nets in your opinion in PES 5 and what;s better in PES 6? Ik like goalnets movements too. I celebrated the day that all goal nets are in the form of a box. Still waiting for the day that there will be a goalnet editor where you can edit the type of net, the color, the length (in real life for example San Siro net is shorter then Bernabeu) etc.

I do not understand it, people. Two completely different opinions:
1) PSE6 is slow.
2) PES6 is too fast.

I can clear that up for you. I have both the French version (which in my opinion is the beta-version) and the official game.

French version = too fast
Official version = slow (and that's good!!)

Fifa has NOT been good at all I totally agree. I hate Fifa as much as the rest of you.

PES 6 is the best Pro ever... Brilliant. I feel it again after an horrible PES season with PES5!!!

I agree that PES5 was horrible but at least it was a PES game. The latest incarnation of the ProEv series plays like a horrible cheap arcade game....feels totally contrived.....anything u manage to do it feels like the computer done it for u.....the goals.....urghhhh

PES 6 is in no way Arcadey. If you want an Arcade football game, go out and buy Virtua Striker. The latest installment is a bit slower than 5 the pass animations are improved, through balls are better, volley animations etc are better, Referee gives less niggly fouls, lets the game flow. All in all the number of animations is a joy. The shooting from distance is tougher unless you can work the space appropriately. Goalkeepers, although they fumble a lot, have better catch animations and better one handed save animations etc. The game alone has numerous little special animations, as did 5, that Fifa or other games have never had. For example, the animation in which a player stays down, team on the ball automatically hits the ball out for thorw, player gets stretchered off etc then the team takes the throw and hits it back to team that hit it out. Sportsmanship animations... dont think we'll see them in Fifa, not for a while anyway. All in all, they haven't did a huge amount to change last years, but what they have done enough and it has made the game that so much better.

PES6 is much slower than PES5. The passing is slower for sure, but this makes the game more realistic especially when you consider the changes to the animation of dribbling and long passes.

If it were an arcade game at 50p a pop, i would say it were class. But this tosh aint gonna hold everyones interest for the duration of the season like the previous releases did....at least not anyone over the age of 16.

Just wait till u are playing ur mates and u are churning out scorelines like 17-13 on a regular basis and the games are purely decided by who puts most of their boring and repetitive glitch goal attempts into the back of the net.... Which brings me to my other point, why bother with long range attmepts when u can just run thorugh the defense, run in at diagnonal angle and be guaranteed a goal most times?

Konami improve PES every year, its more realistic now that it has ever been 10/10, gameplay is better now its slower you can string passers together, more battling for the ball, you can now bend shots in at goal an they fly in. Scored 2 crackers with Frank Ribery. I think the game is alot harder than its ever been I won Nice 4-0 then couldnt beat Sao Paolo on Regular mode.

i used 60Hz NTSC and i found the game much slower than it is at 50Hz PAL

I certainly don't think it's too fast. Last years game was too slow, with the faster players not really able to leave behind plodding defenders as they should.

After playing about a minute on the awful, slow 360 version, the PS2 version I swapped it for this morning is perfect and restored my faith in Konami.

Of course I'm just pleased to have an improved version of last season's editor.

PES 6 is still enjoyable but im disappointed with some things:

1. I think the refs have actually got worse, a few too many bookings but worst all too many perfect tackles being punished including some penalties being given for perfect tackles. Dont say it was like that on PES5 cause its a lot worse than that.

2. Keepers are silly at times. They're not as bad as I first heard, but the keepers in PES 5 were almost perfect in my opinion so I wish they were the same. Ive put goal keeping skills to 99 on all keepers to see if they stop fumbling on feeble shots

3. Its become I bit too attack minded again. Thought we had got past this stage and PES was becoming more realsitic every year. Seems like we have taken a step back with PES 6. Im mainly thinking of how esay it is to get past people 1-on-1 and when you think u've defended well and have got a good challenge in u find that they've got past u and are 1-on-1 with the keeper.

I think the reason why some people think its too fast and some people think its too slow is because it can be slow in build up and in general play but because its become harder to defend and easier to attack it makes the game more end to end, thus people think its faster

All I am saying now is what you are all gonna be saying in a few weeks time when PES6 becomes another annoying glitch goal fest worse even than ProEv4 was. U can add all the animations tweak and fix the game play all u like.....but the facts are that this game has a bagful of AI glitches and flaws just waiting to be exploited...

Here is one I do when I need a goal bad.....
..get ball down line.....use combination of R1 +R2 dribble to easily skip past defenders employing next to no effort in oding so, then when u are in that perfect cut back situation...DONT CUT IT BACK! Instead Curl the ball into net past keeper......WORKS EVERYTIME WITHOUT FAIL! And this is only the second day the game has been out.....bags more of shitty certain goal methods such as this to come.

I dont think it is too fast at all. It is perfect, before it was a tad too slow, so this is a major improvement.

The pace of the game is near perfect. As i like to keep it as realistic as possible i start with slow passes and build up to a shooting position by passing it around and creating space.

Yea, MattTheCat, i think its obvious you don't like the game, but are you playing the official release, or the beta French Release, because in the main game you can't just run through defences easily, not unless you have it at beginner, you don't do you? The opposition players are much better at closing down and its much harder to find space which is why you have to pass more, so i'm sorry if you have a different version of the game from everyone else, but in no way can you simply run past the whole opposition defence (cept with Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Henry, but thats cos of their pace) The bulk of my goals so far have actually been saved replays. I always pride myself on my long shots and its a good way to score in this game, if you can work enough space which can be hard to do a lot of the time against good opposition. I have been playing the Pro Evo Series since before it was Pro evo lol All the ISS's etc and i can safely say this game is a great addition to the legacy of PES. So if you don't like the game, go out and trade it in and get another game, I hear Fifa's shit too though... hmmm are we surprised?? Only 7 leagues in the 360 version and people said I was lying *Victory Dance*

In PES6 you shoot one top corner in each match. And yes, you can run trough defenses. I lost my last online game 5 - 7.. kewl.
