I recently registered with what seems to be the most popular Pes forum on the internet...... www.pesfan.com

And what a horrible place it is. Admin or 'Refs' on total power trips speaking down to members who dare infringe their ridiculously petty site rules or suggest somehting out of tune with the status quo. Of course, dare to question the arsehole attitude of the Refs and u will be sent off in an instant which results in the forum being populated by serville brown nosing little toadies who thrive in the environment of getting snidey snipes in at folk in such a way that they stay on the sweet side of the Refs....or even better, gain status, credibility and the right to patronise and abuse other members by ensuring their tongues are rammed sufficiently up the inner clique of refs arse's on a daily basis.

I received a 'Yellow Card' for typing **** at a response of some snidey rat who made some unwarranted patronising comment at me and I was then sent of for arguing with a ref over some other matter.

Pesfan is without a doubt the worst cyber-community I have ever come across where power-tripping, and gaining the right to bully through brown-nosing is the name of the game.... Thank god its just a crappy web-forum and not some work-place culture.....

What confuses me is why it is so popular......yet the shittest web-forum I ever visited.

Depends on whether you want a forum that's strict and full of rules, or a forum of idiots, a la this site.

In all seriousness this site isn't bad, but it suffers from a real lack of members at times and often large sections of the site seem neglected. It still shits on any other site as it's far more relaxed.

I guess it'd just be nicer if there were more hardcore Pro Evo fans so we could have a more active site.

Aside from the 'humorous' banter as beautifully portrayed above, this stie is actually not half bad.

I've been a member on PESFAN for quite a while longer than here, and must confess didn't post much there as i got annoyed reading post by pre-pubescent morons.

At least here the morons are older... :doh:

Anyway, don't you feel that PESFan benefits from being a site which does more for its users? Sorry to say it Pete, but there's not enough on here to make you always come back. We need more competitions and so on. It's not even something that you have to organise, but you'd need to be more willing to let people take it on.

Perhaps tournaments and the like would garner a lot more interest?

Who's Pete? - anyway, yes numbers on here are fewer, but i find PESfan a touch stifled. As little as you seem to care, MadTheCat is right. Looking at some of your posts today, you'd see red very quickly.

We need more competitions and so on. It's not even something that you have to organise, but you'd need to be more willing to let people take it on.

Regdless, back on topic, one of the main problems with PESfan for me wasthe lack of EPL option files. From what i've seen this site has by far the best choice of files

I couldn't agree more Stella that this place needs a good shake up. I've tried breathing fresh life into it by having a real homepage which I actually update on a fairly regular basis, but beyond that it's difficult finding the time to organise other things. I am still attending university (somewhat fittingly currently doing a module on 'Communities Online') and then there's the movie site which is taking up a lot of my time.

As for PESFan, it's completely different to here. I have hundreds of posts over there and was one of the first members (I think my ID is something like 250). It's the official UK forum for Konami, so of course it has to be strict... but at the same time it's great for tournaments which is why I use it.

Well you deserve a thumbs up for the front page anyway. It looks a thousand times better than it did.

Perhaps when you have more time you should look to consider getting people to help organise things with you/for you. More online tournaments and such would help keep people here.

erm,this is the best and most popular PES community!!!bar none!i think you may realise that after a bad time on PESfan.i think im registered there but ive only been on to download something ages ago as this gives me all the info and stuff i need.most peeps seem ok on here too

I don't think it's all that bad, I like the more personal approach here. On Fan you seem to be more of a number. There are loads of idiots there, but it's the same here on a smaller scale.

I still think more could be done. We don't have enough Pro Evo enthusiasts and we could do with setting up more tournaments and the like. Perhaps I can get something going once everyone has their copy.

LOL. That is PESfan alright.....you have to pinch yourself to remind yourself its just a forum b4 u start thinking about ways to get 2 these power tripping cliquey arse licking rats in real life and give em a good slapping.

But going by the volume of traffic alone....u cant deny that PESfan is the most 'popular' pes forum........but that dont mean its good.....unless of course you like the taste of shit on your toungue.
