JUVENTUS (fordfocus) 2-0 NEWCASTLE (Marky P)
Goalscorers: Nedved 27, 43
Bookings: Trezeguet (Yellow)

Juventus finished off an impressive set of results in group 3 with a 2-0 win over Newcastle. Nedved struck two goals for Juve, the first a great stike from range, the second after a nice 1-2 with Del Piero. (A goal of the tournament contender) This means the end for Newcastle, who are left ruing the missed chances they should have taken in the previous two matches.

BARCELONA (markony) 0-1 CELTIC (kobe)
Goalscorer: Petrov 22

Barcelona take a shock exit from the tournament in the group stage after finishing bottom of the standings with a single point. The deciding goal came midway into the first half, Petrov's effort deflected past the helpless Rustu by Reziger, Petrov can just about claim it. Celtic fully deserved the victory as they dominated the match, Barca even more suprisingly, failed to produce a single attempt on goal.

Final Group 3 Standings:
1. Juventus 7
2. Celtic 5

3. Newcastle 2
4. Barcelona 1

MUNICH (brova) 0-0 RANGERS (col_gers)

This was a pretty dull, eneventful game which saw the end of the road for both of the teams involved. Bayern had the better chances but failed to take them. Bayern narrowly lose out to proceeding to the next stage to PSG who had the deciding factor, a better goal diffenence.

PSG (CPU) 0-1 PARMA (CPU)
Goalscorer: Nakata 80

No report due to match not envolving PES Insight managers.

Final Group 4 Standings:
1. Parma 6
2. PSG 5

3. Bayern Munich 5
4. Rangers 1

Group 5 Results:
INTER ('101st') 0-0 ARSENAL (PicturePerfect)

Arsenal's point was enough to see them through to the next round of the competition. Inter however, bow out. This was an even game with most of the action in midfield. Arsenal created the more chances and would have scored through Wiltord on 66 mins but for a great save from Toldo.

LIVERPOOL (Craig David) 0-0 DEPORTIVO (Wainy)

Deportivo squeezed through to the next stage after a 0-0 draw with Liverpool. Liverpool really should have won this match but failed to take their chances. A win of course, would have meant that they would have gone through ahead of Depor. Despite Liverpool having the more chances, Depor came closest to scoring when Victor's first half header came back off the crossbar.

Final Group 5 Standings
1. Arsenal 5
2. Deportivo 4

3. Liverpool 3
4. Inter 2
