Alas, I was stating that this point system was encouraging spamming, I then used Lami as an example of the crappy sea of poo to which this has brought.

Plus his spelling is offensive, and his grasp of irony annoys me muchly.

Gfk luvs me just like zygalski, so i know Gfk's cards, they're a happy birthday and sorreh about yer son card.

Lami posts too much, at his best, every other minute.

is this English 101?

Great premise/theory, unsure about it in practice as yet.

'Registered User' = c'mon, surely we could have kept the old titles (enthusiast, legend etc etc), seeing as not all of us spam/post intelligently frequently enough to have enough points to change from the poxy 'Registered User'.

Perhaps there needs to be a 'vote for this post' feature, whereby members of the forum who have been here for over 6 months (or have posted over 1,000 times: whatever the admins see fitting) can vote for someone's particularly witty, insightful or helpful post, and the person voted for gets 5 points, or 10, or something.

That might help keep spamming down, as you are likely to get more points by people voting for your intelligent posts than by you posting 10 lots of crap. Follow me?

I have a question. When i first saw the shop thingy, i purchased a name change under my username. It didnt go on but at the time it said i had enough points, now its still in purchase history but not in effect. Am i being a cock?
