Play without sliders = Freedom

Today I decided to play a game witout any tactic sliders in my team, and the result made me kinda happy. The game felt much less "on rails". I wouldn't say it was placebo. Passing, trapping and defending became more manual, and therefore also harder. It felt more realistic, actually shouted when I scored.

Try how you like it? Anyone knows exactly how the game gets affected without the sliders?

What do you mean with "game without tactic sliders"? As far as I know that's not possible. When you set a slide to 0 it does not mean that you've just turned it off.

Oh, excuse me, I got it wrong. I meant the playing style "bars" such as "poss OFF", "poss DEF, "Long Ball", "Quick counter" and so on. If you play without them the game surely feels different..

Iv'e tried som games without them and in the first matches it felt like a new experience. But now after a while and som testing, I don't really know wheter it's positive or negative to play without them. Somehow it feels the team becomes passive, cuz you delete their playing "idea". But on the other hand, as I said, it feels more free/manual which in turn is kind of satisfactory.

OK! I also play without the presettings. What I do is to set the strategies manually (they are activated by select+ square, circle, etc). I also control manually the attack and defense of the team ( select+R1 or R2).

Yeah, I turn the automatic ones all off (that trigger depending on the score and the time int he match), then I selectively use certain ones manually.

I also play without the data management settings, I know what the OP means but I don't think the difference is massive, I do like to have as much control over my team as possible so this was the reason I turned them off, I also heard other people say it makes a difference and stops some buggy things happening to your players.

Yeah, its certainly worth a try to remove those bars. The game feels more natural. A thing I noticed is that you gain more control over your players and can send them on runs easier. Don't know why but it also becomes kind of easier to dribble past opponents..

I replicated the bars of Chelsea for my MLO team and was also using the manual "select+circle, X, etc" as well. I just realized I was actually using both automatic and manual settings at the same time and they were referring to the same thing. I will clear all the bars once I get home and give it a try and hope to see some of that "total freedom" thing they sold us.
