360 is in the game... despite my original report.
This was due to me playing with the d-pad (always did)... the problem is that to get access to the 360 (or at least 32) you have to play with the analog stick.
This will imply a major shift for many players like myself who had never played PES on the stick.

The through pass problem is a sub-derivate of the non-360 d-pad.. and as such is not so noticeable with the stick.... amazing how much it changes the gameplay.

Keepers coming out foolishly on long balls is definitely confirmed....
I had another play where the PC played a long ball which was going through the end line and my keeper instead of letting it go, decided to parry it towards the sideline and concede a throw in....

Another thing I don't like, but this is one of those things that probably can be sorted by adjusting my gameplay, is how difficult (read impossible) it is to hold the ball under pressure... especially with slow and low balance players... most of the times they will get tackled out of the ball.

Never played Pes with a stick! lol.
It'll be like playing a new game for you. The control you get is great. The PS2 controller was a dream combo.
I play on the PC and use ythe x-box 360 controller. Which is pretty good.

I actually use the PS2 controller on the PC through an USB adapter...

Like I said in another thread, the most difficult part of using the stick is passing and precise dribbling...

Any of you guys been online with your PES 2010? Lag!!!!!!!
Also, did they put the penalty situation back to how it was in 2009? Ie; penalty taker facing square on to goal?

My game doesn't allow online play.... let's leave it at that....

I haven't got any penalty in the middle of a game, but in penalty shootout the camera is the old one....

Hi Guys.

I will be posting a my own little review on PES2010 in about 3 or 4 weeks time.

I say 3 or 4 weeks because I wan't to adapt to the game and get a better understanding before I write the review.
I don't want to be writing a review based on 3 or 4 matches on Exhibition and a little flick though the menus. I want to write a review after playing a long time on Master League and Become A Legend, hours chilling on Edit Mode and checking out online.

So I will be posting the review in the 'PES2010 Discussions' Area.

I am a little pissed of at the review posted on this thread. He only talks about gameplay and nothing else. Of course gameplay is the most important factor, but surely the ML, BAL, Online and other modes will have pushed that score to at least 8/10 for the overall game?

Oh yeah and another thing Dean7879, if you did do the review based entirely on gameplay, then at least state that at the top of the review.

Those poor goals we had on the demo are seen no more.
Deflection goals still occur, but at a much less frequent rate.

I just played a England-Italy and I must say Buffon is a really top notch keeper!
Some impressive saves he pulled!


I've not yet messed around with tactics on the full game, just experiencing the basics.... but I have to say most games I played so far were pretty midfield-less....

question about the camera types... cudnt change them on the demo
i use zoom or mid zoom i think it is , always have since pes 1

anyone else use this camera ? dont anyone spoil the fun and say its not their lol :angry:

fair enough on peoples opinions of pes now i havent got the game yet but i want to give it enough time to judge it and get used to it cause some of you have only got the game today and maybe not given it a chance yet.

Correct, i echo this, i have seen "theliverpoolway" stress this also, people are getting the game and using one hand to play there first game and one to start slating or praising it!

sit down with the game for a couple of days/weeks then come back and your opinion will be taken fully in to consideration, right now (no offence) but people saying this and that about the game is slightly silly as it would have been impossible for them to have played it enough to give it a fair chance.

^ yeah also some of us have played fifa for a few weeks and got used to it and im guessing pes will take some time getting used to and the feel. :)

What do you mean by this?

I'm playing the game and keep reporting as I go along....

It's not like I play 1 game and I don't like it and put it away....

We understand, but it would be better if you played it for a while before reporting as the things you do not like now you may get used to and realise you like them after more time with the game...

too true.. many people have already came on after just playing the game for a few hours/games... i think it'll take a few weeks of play to truly get to grips with the game

The things I don't like are, most of them, issues related with programming.... things that could be have done in some other way... and affect realism.

Ahh maybe the pc version suffers a bit with regards to some aspects? oh well who knows i will soon have my copy and then after a while playing ill let you know what i have found :)

It definitely feels like a different game from PES 2009... to give you an example, in 2009 i made around 50-60 passes a game.... in 2010 I've yet to have a game with less than 100 passes!

I have no doubt, like all PES games, that in the future I'll get fully adapted to it, and then I'll think it's the best PES ever....
I've had that feeling with all PES (since ISS Pro Evolution) except for 2008.
