Player Cam. is it the future?

After winning the treble on 5 and then 6* I tend to get a little bored. so I start looking for ways to make things more difficult for myself. Since WE8 I have been changing to a fixed player and using the Player Cam angle. I feel that it brings out another element to the game and it could be that this angle is used for the inevitable 11 v 11 online game (more like 10 v 10 a human keeper would be a waste of time). I play the game similar to Player Manager by Dino Dini, i.e. if I am unfit or suspended I only manage the team and watch the game making tactical changes where required.

Does anybody else use the fixed player, player cam, and would this angle be the best for large number of players?

I use fix mode, brilliant addition to the game.

The only problem is that the player cam tends to get a bit annoying when dribbling with the ball. If this was improved like using the cam that was in Libero Grande, then I would be playing on that most of the time.

Like you said, a 10 v 10 game would be brilliant, but I cant see that happening any time soon.

On PES4, me and 7 other mates done a 8 player fix mode all on the same team. Like, set positions etc. Although hardly anyone stayed in the positions, it twas good. Just a bit annoying if someone keeps hold of the ball without passing.

You are right, dribbiling is a little annoying, also running without the ball can be to, I am not sure if I like the fact that you run in relation to the position of the ball. The other issue I have is when you use R2 to call for the ball, all to often the players get confused, do nothing and the ball is stolen, or, you may press R2 and the ball played to you after you become in a bad position, or fall behind in the play.

The stadiums look quality with this angle don't you think?

You would need good discipline to play 10 v 10, for both positioning and teamplay.

But think of the possibilities here, you could create a virtual player that looks like you, but not able to edit the stats, or at least have a limited amount of points that can be used. then with each 10 v 10 game your player improves, maybe based on the player ratings at the end of games, or the stats created, e.g. you make 20 passes in a game and complete 15 you get 3 additional points to add to your passing ability and teamwork.

Then with these stats there would be a way of telling how good a person is and how likely he/she is going to fit into a team, and most importantly - pass it!!! So you enter a virtual changing room and the host of the game picks 9 other players or 19 others and the games begins. Fit this into a league system and you have got one hell of a game. Players been drafted, droped or whatever, even offical international games, if you can not make in the real world, you might have a chance in the virtual!

What do you think, is it just a foolish dream, or would others like to see this set-up?

First, I'd like to know if this is on PES 4 or PES 5?

Second, am I right in assuming you play solely as one player, and the computer takes control of the other 9 on field for you? If so, I'd love to give this a try, but how would I set it up??

It has to be said I think this would be a fantastic new addition, but I feel it has already been done?

Funnily enough, I think I heard of a Counter Strike mod which saw you play as individual players and of course had to pass as a team and score ... and being CS, you can imagine 11 v 11 affairs, or at least 10 v 10. I only saw it on a Television show as far as I recall and don't know much more, but I'm sure you can find it, but I doubt the gameplay is PES like!

You do sort of get close when you play a 4 on 4 and have 4 people playing each side, but this would be a good addition, I don't know if it's going to dominate how PES is currently played, personally it's fantastic the way it is, but I'd love to try that! To comment on the editing as well, that would be cool, your own management tilt, I'd like that.

Yeah its on PES4. When your in the player settings menu (Choosing which side your on with the ps3 controller moving to home or away) keep click the L1 button until it says FIX, then you pick your player later on.

If you wanna change your player during a game, then press start, player settings and press SQUARE, and choose there.

If you want the player cam, then buy it in the PES Shop.

r-34 give it a go, do not forget that you can call for the ball by pressing R2. Plus try and pass it more, and remember the old addage "play the way you are facing" if you try two many turns and hold on to it to long you are are going to lose it, and it can be a little frustrating!

I tried it before but not fixed, I remember that it was nigh on impossible. Whenever I passed the camera teleported to the other player and I didn't know where I was ... all of a sudden I've lost possession and I thought 'nuts to this!'. But I'll try that now ... sounds interesting! Should have the player cam.

Does it make shooting easier? Seeing the goal from the down angle?

That's a touchline cam isn't it? You'd need good judgement for that, for you to see if you was running out of play, into defenders .....

This was because you was not on fixed, so everytime the ball moved to a new player you got his view. give yourself a fit playing like that lad!

A manager cam would be good when you was not involved for whatever reason and only managing the game, but to play like this would very hard.
