Would be if either of them worked properly. The trouble with stamina is that it isn't actually affected by how much you run - the levels go down according to the players' stamina stats regardless of how much he moves. This completely defeats the point of having the stat in the first place, because it means (for example) you can't ease off at the end of an easy league match to preserve your players. Online of course it's a total joke, because it allows idiot players to just full-press and sprint for the whole game without their entire team being dead on their feet by half time. Turns practically every match online into a farce.

Condition is random, so an 18-year-old who's just scored a hat trick on his debut might be on a downer for the next game... right. The only time it's not random is when you're playing away from home, when for example Steven Gerrard might be on a down arrow for an away game at Old Trafford, or Gary Neville for the game at Anfield. Ridiculous. No thought's gone into it at all.

I think what Sminky might have meant is that they should scrap the current systems, not the actual concepts of stamina and condition. In fact, the whole point is they should include the concepts of stamina and condition, because what we've got now is something totally different (and stupid).

Good points. And this is what I interpreted from Sminky's response.

All,

I have another questions that relates to the Game Plan area of this game. I find it odd I am just now noticing this, perhaps since the icon is so very faint and rarely filled.

When looking over your entire formation (1/3), reviewing player form (2/3) and then player rating (3/3), I am curious what the 2nd line is under your yellow stamina bar for the 2/3 screen of player form. It is rarely filled, however appears as a small white status bar.

Thanks.

At least in BAL last year the stamina was affected by how much you run (not sure about this year though). I agree that this year it appears to not matter how much a player runs, but my point is that it seems like maybe this wasn't the case last year...? If so, why did the system get worse?

My only annoyance it stamina, condition does not always affect the AI as much as it should especially with high pressure. I like the way home and away is considered hopefully konami will stick with it instead of dumming it down to non existent fifa 11 standards.

Pressure has to be accounted for more, no team can pressure constantly for 90 minutes, this has happened a few times in ML offline and it seems very unnatural. Other times the AI gets tired and you can pick them apart but stamina is not effected enough overall for me.

That is for cumulative fatigue. Take a look at your players after they come back from playing with their national squads or when you have back to back cup/league matches.
That bar will grow as they continue to get knackered from overplay. How this manifests itself in the game is the player will start with a lower stamina level for the matches and get tired much quicker. Giving them games off will reduce this fatigue, to the point they get back to 100%.

Of course after reading the posts here about stamina/fatigue, maybe it doesn't do anything ;-) But theoretically it's what I put in bold above.

The white star represent Player Cards that affects your players' movement on the pitch. You can't train your players to acquire the cards, they come with the player. Treat it like the player's "preference/personality".

In PES 2010, you can turn these cards off, as they only come into effect if your player plays in certain position(s), but this option was disabled in PES 2011.

The playing styles will be enabled / disabled when you select a specific role for the player, eg. Lampard will have his "Roaming" style disabled if you assign him to a DMF role.

Yes, I know that. What I meant is that in PES 2010, you can actually turn off the card (playing style) even if the player is playing in a position that would normally enable the card.

In PES 2011, you are forced to play the card, which imo isn't that great. What if you don't want your CB to act as an extra attacker for a particular match?

Hi there

I also been playing offline leage and I win alot of the time at home not quite so much away let me say in my experience +5 in difference isnt equal to one player being on top form and another on bottom form its ALOT more than that quite often it can be better to play reserve players with top form than your best player with bottom form

eg sometimes ill leave gerrard out in favour of say spearing...who you say?

exactley.. personally I think this part of the game has been brilliant execute so wd to konami for that)

also agree with above statement GOod point :)
