This may be a really stoopid question, so I apologise if so......

When buying players in PES3, how do you see their transfer value?

When scrolling through the player lists, you can see their current salary but no purchase value. There is a 3 digit number next to their name in the lists: is this an abbreviated value or what does this mean? I checked this number next against a players value when in negotiations once, but the figures werent the same.

Thanks.

3 digit number is their salary.

At the set transfer details screen,
there are no.s for the transfer fee (1st one),
salary pts (2nd one),
and the duration (yrs) (last one)

Thanks guys.

What about a transfer value though - do you only find that out after starting negotiations??

Yeh, should be.
But if you're just viewing but not buying you can start negotiations then suspend them to cancel them after the next match.

Yeah, big ass salaries for big ass players, I'm paying the bastards too much.
ChemEng - during the mid-season and end-season negotiations try n' look for a free transfer. u can do that by applying a search term of Remaining Time = 0 or you can go for 1 and know which players are going to be free in the end of the season.
When trying to get someone in a free transfer, you should (not as a rule but it usually this way) offer more salary than the one he was receiving in his old team - sometimes a lot more, as players tend to stay in their team.

I think you can suspend negotiations and they'll be removed from the list in the same negotiation Round.

It helps when you hit the max number of negotiation for incoming players and realise you've got to remove one to get into negotiations with another player.

It would be nice if you could do a fuzzy-search based on an existing player's range of abilities, but add price/contract conditions.

e.g. to find out who the poor man's Henry is, or to replace a specific player you've had to sell/release.

yeah, you're correct.

should be pointed out though that the sallary is sometimes 4 digits.

just about anyone getting paid over 80,000 pounds per week has a 4 digit salary... anyone notice how cheap the *uncontracted* japanese players are -- 100 per week ( bargain ;) )
