Hi, I am doing a ML with Man UTD and am currently in the second season (just started). I wanted to know about the retirment of players in your squad, because I have Giggs, Scholes, Neville and Van Der Sar who as you all know are coming to the end of their career in real life (within this season or the next) but none of them retired in the first season and no one has announced anything yet in the second season (in September).

So my questions are:
1. Do players retire in the first season or does no one ever retire for your team in the first season?

2. When do players announce their retirement?

1. Players do retire in their first season in previous versions of PES, although I have yet to see one in PES 2011. Safe guess is that they do though.

2. Varies around 38-40 yrs old. You definitely won't see many players beyond 40.

Thanks for the reply, but with question 2 that I asked, I wasn't asking about what age they retire, I was querying what time in the season they announce their retirement for example do they announce it at the start of the season or just before the january window?

They should announce it some time before the January window, as before.

when scrolling through your players on the squad list, they announce it on the section where your scout tells you how happy there are.

I had G. Neville who retired at the age of 39. he told me early on in the season he was retiring so i transfer listed him. some stupid team paid me £35,000,000 for him. funnily though, he didn't retire that season. he played another season and a half for the new club.
