Playing against two players online

This is happening to me more and more now. Seems everyother game I play is against a couple of guys on their PS2. They have a massive advantage over me and I inevitably end up losing more of these games than I win.

Is there anyway of seeing this before you accept a game?

Anyone else had this problem?

Anyways of beating this kind of player (other than by being better than them!)?

It really annoys me, especially when they start gloating. It's two against one for crying out loud.....:realmad:

it pisses me too...
Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing it beforehand...
That's because, all they have to do,is press "start" in the formation menu..
As a result, the only option you have is reset your console...

Now..When the players are decent (not good,decent..) you have a huge disadvantage...
And that's most of the times...

unfortunately, finding people with wrong attitude when playing online is inevitable...

I played two and won 4-1 just now!
I think playing two is easier, Heres stuff to consider: what about all the extra space they'll give you (both hunting you down)
One mind can focus on an intended attack rather than having to cooporate with someone

I would have thought that unless they were good playing alongside each other then it would have been easier. As Schmutz said more space, defenders out of posistion ect...

BUt when they attack the player off the ball can run himself into space behind your player chasing the ball or in the box. I reckon it makes it much easier to tear someone apart, if you know what you are doing.....

man, I cant wait.. I'm so fucking jealous of you guys, I'm in north america and cant play online, but whenever I wreck my friends 2-1 players, I find it way easier to score upon

Ive been beaten and also ben beaten by 2 players.

1 game it took me a while to work out what was going on, i was 4-0 down in 30 mins and wasn't happy. Sussed it was 2 very good players and put myself on defend only with 3 pacey forwards.

Ended up 4-4 after 90, with a little help from the computer and I skanked a last minute extra time winner to finish the job.

You must be shit (no offence :p) I prefer to play 2 people, they get caught offside more and its easier to play the passing game.

PS. Set your camera to Wide, its much easier to play on.

Well good morning to you too. You wouldnt happen to put that up on the screen when you play people would you?

I totally disagree, playing against two people who know what they are doing is hard. I guess that you are obviously the best player in the world and I should bow at your feet, becasue afterall I am shit (offence taken).

Totally agree with that. I beat most people when it's 2 vs 1 but i get really annoyed sometimes because i think it's much harder.

Approximately 1 in every 5 games ends up being against 2 people, and there's no way to tell beforehand! Someone here said you can turn off your ps2 at the formation screen...wouldn't that make you lose the game automatically? Or wouldn't it as the game hasn't kicked off yet?

I agree that playing two people leaves holes in their defense but for someone like me who tries to anticipate the way my opponent plays to block moves etc it becomes twice as hard. There is somewhat more variation in their play and i can't judge what they will do/are capable of doing.
Guess i'll just have to get used it, or block them!
