Playing The Mental Game!!!!!!

Okay i have just been home for the xmas break and we normally have our mini champions league between me my cousins and friends with our master league teams. Last year i was 3rd in a league of 14. This year i was right at the top till i returned yesterday. Here is my tip.

Forget the whole cheats and easy goals nonsense. Just play football and mentally corner your opponents. I know i am soundibng patronizing but check this against opponents say your housemates who you wanna beat repeatedly. here is my mental game.

1. Study his game and build your based on his. I am not an attacking or defending player I play depending on what he comes up with. When playing defensive and cautions players, I played very defensive giving him a chance to attack. Coz my cousin was too used to defending and hitting people with the counter attack, he was not certain what to do. He started attacking thinking that i was just crap. too bad for him in attacking he was forced to open spaces in his defence he was forced into mistakes he never made and bam i used his own counter attacking method against him 2-0 and i defended doggedly resulting to nasty tackles in the last 15 mins. of the game. Loss the ball i tap the O button a different player for all the tackles disrupting his game.

2. Playing attacking players I bombarded them with four forwards . He was too used to attacking so i forced him to defend himself. He was thrown offbalance. I kept pumping in a variety of crosses on his box and numerous passes around his box while moving with the R1 button around the box (i.e. very slowly) Numerous dribblings and passin around his box and he conceeded 3 penalties. The game ended 7-4.

3. The only competition came from my female cousin she was a master of both defending and attacking. I used mental superiority over her again. Just stroked the ball around my half for the first 30 mins. of the 1st half tso she was forced to attack a bit. Getting used to my possession game, i threw her off balance by resulting to counter attacks and switching to a second formatiopn with wide wingers and pacy vbreaks around the wings. Scored a goal. She was in hot water. Second half she presumed i was gonna defend again so she threw forward more people. I did the same so it was end to end stuff she equalized but i scored as well. 2-1 she started defending in the hope of luring me out of my box. Bad move. I hurled out Eliakwu one of my wingers and put in Maduro in defence leaving only Ibrahimovich infront everyone was behind the ball with two defenders inside the goal line. lol. Last minutyes she tried to attck but i was i was all over the field with murderous tackles. I Phil Nevilled her out of the game. Moral of the story out smart your opponents by any means possible. They all said i made the competition boring but who cares???? I won hahaha.

Sounds like it went nicely for you. Well played. Got any stats to share such as the league table?

I think most people are talking about the cpu's play when talking about cheats?

Nice one StreetDisciple, I use similar tricks against my mates. i even psyche them out before the game, by messing about with my tactics and formation for ages while they're waiting to play. i'm not really changing much, i just do it to piss them off and take their focus.

Another little trick I use against reasonably experienced players is to change to my formation A or B at kick off. That way they go into the game thinking that I am playing a 4-4-2 against their three at the back, and then only realise that I'm actually playing 4-3-3 when they concede the first goal. Obviously it needs your opponent to be a little slow on the uptake, but it's good for confusing people.

I prefer playing a pal or brother or someone and not the CPU...coz when you're playing a human they have a 'game plan' if you like, just like you, so therefore the competition is better, whereas the computer just cheats.
