Playing with Slow Teams?

I just want to see how you guys play with teams that have no fast players. What i try to do is pass as fast as possible, but it seems like passing in this game is so slow, so there's not much advantage. what's worse is that my opponents just ram their players into mine, making my players spin like figure skaters. i try to do as much one twos as possible, but still not much help. what do u guys do usually with teams like these? thx

Speed is too much of an important factor in the game, so it's hard to beat it.

I just pass the ball around as quickly as possible and try to make players make runs (using attacking arrows etc). If you have players with high body balance, then you can dribble for a while without losing the ball. Another thing you can try is to side-step challenges and pass it to free players. One-twos are your best bet of getting players in free space though.

All this, however, means nothing if you have shit players (i.e. low technique and dribble accuracy stats).

well only advice i can give is that passing is really the only way to get by this downfall. long crosses, switching fields, anything to make your way slowly down the pitch. one twos are key factors as well. hopefully this will last until your next transfer window

Playing with slower players isn't too bad, but like Dragonfly said you need players with good technique and dribble accuracy to really make it work.

I tend to look first at players technique/passing ability before speed anyway as it's more the way i used to play myself.

i find it really helpful to switch flanks as if you're playing comp, they normally defend the side you are playing on, so by switchin it to the other side, you can make a bit of a run even if your players are slow.

My philosophy is that it's all about pass and move, being smart and keeping possession. Then it shouldn't matter what team you play with. Good luck.

Yep, agree with this totally. Speed is just one factor. I play a lot with Juve who are certainly not blessed with pace [Marchionni and Camoranesi being the honourable examples] and I really enjoy it.

You have to accept:
a) you will not skin people
b) you will have to defend intelligently, and
c) the ball will have to move more, and faster.

Also, the Henrys, Ronaldos, etc are too bloody quick, IMHO.
