I used to before I owned an Xbox, and it didn't take long for my opinion to change.

The Xbox online features are far superior to that of the PS3, which I'm sure the majority of PS3 users will agree with. I don't care if I have to pay for it, I'm not really going to miss £2.50 a month, especially when I'm getting good value for money.

Also I've experienced slow down with the PS3, something I never have with the Xbox.

Have a look in the Xbox thread, Definately Maybe was convinced to go Xbox and I haven't heard a bad word back from him about it.

The Orange Box.

Half Life 2 + the episodes is immense, obviously, and Portal was the surprise package for me, I enjoyed playing it. Team Fortress 2 is okay, but not as good as Call of Duty which you already have. Still worth a try.

5 games, you cant go wrong with that for £40.

I got Burnout instead; Orange Box wasn't at the shop but Uncharted was.

I got Paradise for £37. Im gonna save up more money so I can get Orange Box and/or Uncharted...

Do any of you people buy pre-owned games?

I am considering buying pre-owned Uncharted and Orange Box because they are a lot cheaper.

But should I risk it and buy 2 pre-owned games, so pre-owned games work properly?

Please discuss...

Pre owned games work fine. If they dont you can get your money back, or at least some of it. Most shops dont check whether they work or not, so there is a small chance, but every pre owned game I have bought have had no problems.

I rarely buy pre-owned games but thats because I like my things to be new however there's no big risks in buying a pre-owned game as the shops will only buy take the games in if they are good quality and they also buff the games to remove scratches.

`if a game doesn't work you can always take it back

I am currently buying only pre-owned. Being late on the Xbox trail i'm working my way through some of the back catalogue. Just finished Saints Row, dipping into Bioshock (great atmosphere!) and GOW on co-op.

Still nowhere near complete on Mass Effect though. This game is beginning to make Oblivion feel small.
