Hey hey, I have been a bit sceptical about having an online game, has anyone had any lag free ones yet? Still a bit hesitant but looking forward to playing you guys soon...

Dude online on the PS3 is terrible. I've had only 2 decent games (albeit still lagging) out of 17. It's really frustrating. I hear Konami are doing their best to fix it with a patch and I hope it comes soon. That's all I'm looking forward to now.

If you are the type who cares about their records, stats etc. then I suggest you play Friendly Matches first and get use to the unbelievable lag. One second I'm about to shoot, and then 3 seconds later the ball magically teleports to the opponent's area. You'll see lots of weird stuff. :huh:

Either way I still try to play and when your in possession of the ball, the lag tends to reduce. I doubt connection quality plays a role as I have a friend almost 30 kms away with 1mb all to himself, he still gets massive lag.

Anyway, I'm still up for a friendly game guys.. let me know. :)

On another note; I had one superb game (w/the lag) w/some Rangers fan and I was AEK Athens. The game reached the 90th minute and he was 4-3 up, in that last minute I hit a free kick with Rivaldo and sent it to over time. In the second half of ET, I scored a cracker outside the box w/Rivaldo again in the last minute. Poor guy went mad. :cool:

Good review of online there. You got mic working? Also God and I tried playing each other last night but when we went to accept invitation we could never enter the room.

I just played a game right now, still ridiculously laggy. I demand that patch!

I've been reading from other forums about online play. PES6 last year on its first weeks of release, was also terrible during online. But Konami did come up with something and they fixed it. It still lags but not like this god awful lag we are experiencing now. Just wondering, how long did that patch take.. Hopefully not too long this time around.

EDIT: I'm not sure as to why you and God couldn't connect.. I've had no problems so far challenging my friend online. Can't be about the location (country) surely..

Are you talking about PES2008 or all games?

Because I hope you are only talking about PES. One of the main reasons I will get a PS3 is because of its free online play. It better not be crap :|

PS3 online isn't very user friendly like 360. I've had very little problems with other games just PES 2008.

Anyone else got a headset? It turns out you can use it on PES, as me and Mig found out earlier on. (when I should've battered him. Offside??? my arse)

Really pleased it does work as the typing using the PS3 controller was getting on my nerves :realmad:

Yeah, I heard somewhere one was coming out 1st November (later today), so fingers crossed.

Things were looking up earlier though, as I played Mig with little lag, compared to when I tried playing him before when it was unplayable.

I haven't even had 5 games on this yet; I'll need a while before I'm up to my usual standard (ridiculously amazing). Is Online play bareable? I've heard bad things.
