Hey Mig, man how hard was it to get a game yesterday with you?! :huh:

It kept on getting stuck when you invited me and when I saw your game on the list, I just couldn't get in. All the others seem to work but not yours. Have you played anyone else through inviting?

Before and after your invitation though, I was playing a few matches. I'm surprised to say that I was actually having decent games. The lags yesterday were not as awful as the ones last week. I had say 10 games and 7 of them were not bad. Lags a little but you can pretty much bare with it, if you know what I mean. The other 3 were the ridiculous ones. While last week more than 60% were really bad matches. Another positive note.. I let in around 12 goals in these games and only 2 of them went in through the stupid teleporting act.

Either I just had a very luck day or Konami has started stepping up.. hopefully the latter. :)

Weird, man. Played all last night & still haven't seen one like that.

Did get shat on by the ref tho... he ran into the path of my defender as he was carrying the ball out from the back, bumped off each other, lost the ball & the forward nicked in and went on to score an easy goal past my suicidal keeper...

I've played Phatmann and another friend from back home in England, had no problems. Tried playing God yesterday too had the same problems as with you. It's weird it seems to work when it wants to. Hopefully I'll get to play you some time soon.

I'm thinking of joining the darkside soon, but is the £299:99 PS3 actually worth it? I mean, are the features it's missing big ones, or just minor things that you guys wouldn't miss at all?

Backwards compability is the main thing. And if you don't have many/any PS2 games you'd ever play again, then it's worthless.

I don't see why 2 less USB ports would make a huge difference either, recharging controller/USB pen is all I've used there.

From memory, only two USB slots, no SD etc. slots. Grey logo. No shiny bits. Smaller HD. Other than that i'm not sure.

That's a pretty impressive looking update on the PSN for a change. Looking forward to another Motorstorm game!

EDIT: Oh and sorry Dan I didn't realise you meant the 40gb version, I'm not sure what's missing from that.

What about flash-card readers? Are they needed for anything important?

Sorry my comment was aimed at you if you were getting the 60gb version, however, the PS3 can play mp4 movies from a usb stick so yeah... ;)

You'll need a movie converter. Simple enough.

Some won't work, they'd need converting. MPEG-1 is the file type that works most for me I think.

Rightio. Sounds simple enough. The 360 can only play WMV too, so I'm used to converting stuff. :unsure:
