Just a silly question: can playing "some" videos encoded in divx format affect my warantee by any means? Or to put it simply disallow me to access the PSN or play online? It's just that I used to get my ps2 moded and used to play "other" games on it but of course I wasn't playing online. And now because of the blu-ray thing I'm getting all my games from decent stores like Virgin and I don't want anything to affect my online experience.
I heard that this might happen because I have a friend whose sister work in the microsoft xbox 360 call center and she told him that he shouldn't run certain things on the ps3 because that affects the warantee of the xbox and the online play.

Are they having problems with the PS3 hardware or something? Should of just ported it from the 360 like most do. :shifty:
Porting it from the 360 is even harder.

I reckon its getting delayed because the game doesn't look as exciting as originally thought, so they can polish it.

At last, I've got CoD4

It ace, i have just done the level where u rescue Nikolai. the graphics are awesome :w00t

Cant wait to get my ps3 sorted and my wireless network connection working. ive got a shit signal strength :realmad:

Any ideas as to how to improve my signal strength so its reasonable (at least) for playing online. There is 2 walls between my room and my dads office because my bedroom had been converted from a cellar into a bedroom.

EDIT: ive signed into PSN  . I look forward to playing with you guys online.

Press L3 to hold your breath? Auto Aim snaps on the target easy, you can notice it in the training camp.

PS3 connection with HDMI cable

hi, just asking for some opinions on how much difference there is when you use a HDMI cable rather than the standard AV cable for the PS3? Clearly it makes a difference and any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Well its HD... duh. Its recommended to use it.

Man I hate this, I really wanna kill some bastards on COD4 online, but I dont have a long enough ethernet cable, and im going to need a 50ft one, either that or go wireless.

What would you guys go for:

- the strongest connection but with another lead running all over my house, its fair to say the place looks like more of an office, you wouldnt believe the matrix of wires I have along the floors. I'd need to buy a long ethernet cable.

- or the wireless option, a weaker signal (it will have to travel through one wall) but with hardly any wiring. I'd need to buy a router.

?

I am connected to the Internet via a wireless network. I had a 60% signal strength and I had a lag-free quick unranked match on Fifa. No problems at all. So, theres nothing bad about getting a wireless router; no wires and all, keeps the house tidy and no hassle getting wires all round the house.

Im luvin my experience of PSN so far

When do you guys go on CoD. Can you put me in ur clan :smug:
