$499 for an 80 gig PS3 plus Metal Gear Solid 4? That converts to only £250. :eek:hmy:

I can't see it being released here for that kind of price. Knowing my luck, my guess is that it will come out here retailing at £350 which is a rip-off when you consider the $499 price tag of the US 80 gig PS3 which converts to £250.

When will Sony learn that the 40 GB PS3 is not worth buying?

The bundles in that link will retail at 399 Euros which converts roughly to £305 (most likely to be £299.99). So still no drop in price.

I have to admit though that I like the look of the movie bundle it does look better value for money than the GT5 bundle if I'm being completely honest. But still, theres nothing there to persuade me to part company with £300.

Maybe if the 80 gig PS3 comes out in Europe with a price drop then I'll strongly consider buying one.

It might be one of your MSN contacts, even if you havent used it in a while like me, they can still see your Gamertag apparently, a few people added me that way

I played it on the 360 and just found it annoying, I wasn't too keen on the controls. I also played the demo on the PS3 and didn't really enjoy the online mode. I think it's one of those you either like it or you don't but that's not a bad price.

I need your help guys and it would be very appreciated if you can respond.

My HDTV looks a bit sharp in 720p (there are jagged edges) and it kinda ruins the graphics, its very noticeable. Obviously with games that only have a max resolution of 720p ill have to live with it.

But COD4 can go up to 1080p and looks a lot better, lines are much smoother and the stair effect you can get with overhead wires in game (in 720p) is gone. However whenever the game loads it decides to display in 720p as that is its native resolution, and the ps3 automatically does that. I can keep it in 1080p by checking off the display settings to only display 1080p, but then the 720p games have to play in 576p, which is shit.

Is there any way I can set the ps3 to display the highest resolution possible for all games? Because if I cant then every time I go to play COD ill have to alter the display settings.

Im not to confident its possible...

A little help needed.

My mate brough his copy of CoD4 round, but it stayed on the "downloading game settings" screen, and froze when I tried to start a private game. We then unplugged my PS3, plugged his in and it worked with no problems?

Help!?

Mines done that before, it's usually a rare fuck-up that happens with the new update - should be fine if you try again though, no?

There is a SUPERB deal on Play.com at the moment.

40GB PS3, Uncharted and Devil May Cry 4 for £310. I'm going to make a purchase next month.

Does anyone recommend PES2008? Is it really worth purchasing it or should I miss out on this one and wait for the next version? What is the online play like?

Sounds good.

The online play for PES2008 is disgusting, so much lag no matter how good your connection is - often to the point where it's unplayable. It's actually a decent game to play with your mates and that, but I just prefer PES6 and still play that. However, it is a lot easier to put updates and option files on the PS3 PES08 so mines looking pretty sweet. It's up to you, man, if you can get it for a decent price then it's probably worth going for 'cos it feels almost complulsary to own a football game on your console!
