how is the 360 online more reliable?
I've never had a problem with my PS3 online...

and I don't see the PS3 getting random 'red rings of death' forcing the user to send the console to Microsoft and wait 2 weeks just to get it back again (still broke in my case!)

Has anyone downloaded the new update for the ps3?

I've just managed to install it but the psn doens't seem to work now, is anyone else having any problems with this?

I downloaded it last night but forgot all about it, when i started my ps3 up again after installing the update it just loaded the game, tbh i'm not looking forward to seeing everything gone tits up

I'm getting tons more lag on the in-game XMB after the update, and it crashes frequently when trying to reply to messages.

The only time that my PS3 crashed in the in-game XMB was on the previous firmware. It froze when I was opening a video.

So far, I haven't got any problems with the new firmware.

mine is totally fine on HDTV, however my HDMI cable is not, some cowboy sold me it for under a fiver on eBay - I suppose I should have expected it for a price like that.

it'll randomly freeze the screen and when I try to switch the TV off it won't let me, so I have to switch it off from the main... complete pain in the arse when you're playing ranked matches and when you switch the TV back on the opponent has scored!

I saw a HDMI cable in Curry's the other day for £85!! ridiculous money, I wonderin if anyone actually buys that!

Unable to transmit using UDP Port 3658. You may need to connect directly to the internet or adjust your connection device i.e, router settings etc.
Assign DMZ, Port Mapping, Configure NAT table and other router setttings to the PLAYSTATION 3 system. Individual products may use unique terminology..

:fplm: I've searched around for help on this but every single place that seems like it may be helpful is in German, French or Italian.

I'm sure I had some UDP Port problem last year and it just seemed to sort itself out without me doing anything. It seemed that way anyway.
