Do you think that when you buy the console you are also buying your access to the PSN thus they should compensate for any down time?

I include the online costing as part of the console price. Say £100 of the deal is for 10-years access to PSN.

The free games on offer will almost definitely be classics and PSN games. Nothing as big as retail. I've heard Rag Doll Kung Fu, Plants vs Zombies (awesome) & Wipeout HD are rumoured to be 3 of them, but I have no idea on the source behind this, so I doubt its legitimacy.

I bought Crash Bandicoot 1 and found it so damn difficult.

I couldn't get used to the camera. Kept falling in holes when jumping over things and such. Are the PSN games large in filesize? My internet takes long enough to download a basic update for a game or a system update, so hopefully they're not too big.

Depends what games you're on about. FF7 and 8 PS classics are a couple GB each, and i'd imagine full PS3 games are closer to double digts.

PSN games can be compressed.

As for the free games... eh, it's a nice gesture but I doubt they'll be interesting. The type of games that you play once and forget about.

Fucking don't, I bought Mortal Kombat 2 from PSN thinking i'd be as great as I used to be.

Either they fucked with the difficulty, or i'm just generally cancerous at the game, but I couldn't get past the first fight :faceplm::lol:

That sounds like it's more down to your shitness, Dale. Young scallywags like you aren't prepared to put the work in (sound like 777 here). MK2 was a tough game though.

I was pretty good at it though man, this is the whole point. I swear they must have fucked with the difficulty.

Not getting past the first fight is a whole new level of shitness that quite frankly, i'm unaccustomed to.

Rag Doll is piss funny. For about 10 minutes, then it becomes bloody frustrating.

Doesn't matter what they do, there will always be someone not happy!

Dale, don't forget that a few of us have witnessed your shitness on Fifa.

To be fair, they ought to be compensating the PSN+ users considerably more than the standard PSN users. Will they? Nah.

I found that when I got the Sega Megadrive Collection. Old games are frustrating. You have limited lives, you often can't save the game. It's best to leave these games in the past and not ruin the nostalgia. Having said that, I have both the Oddworld games downloaded from PSN store..... no nostalgia lost there, still awesome :)

I recently picked up the Sega Megadrive Collection. It's not bad. A few games don't quite translate to the modern day with the same quality they did in my childhood but, most stand up quite well. Streets of Rage, is still epic. Alien Storm, whilst I remembered it being a blast, is now a bland lifeless affair. And I am getting to grips with the likes of Shining Force and Phantasy Star II for the first time.

Good times. Albeit in small bursts.

I got Rag Doll for free of the US PSN store..... still got rid of it after my first go!

I haven't played many PSN games, but if they do put Flower and Dead Nation on the free list, anyone who hasn't played them should pick them up.

Aye, Streets of Rage is awesome. Brings back good memories. Surprised there hasn't been any reboots at all.

Dear PlayStation Infidels,

We here at Sony just feel elated about everything that's been happening. As you know, since April 20th, the PlayStation Network has been on a jihad because some cunt got in and stole your email, phone number, and killed Bin Laden. Since then, we've been working really pointlessly to rebuild the PlayStation Network and make it more dirka dirka muhammad jihad than ever.

Of course, it's not a difficult process. There are all sorts of nuts, bolts and 72 virgins that make up digital security here on the Internet, and we just didn't expect this to be so bollocks to fix and a fart in the face of Allah. We hope the month of PlayStation Plus we're offering you when the PSN returns on the day of apocalypse will be enough to get you back on the PlayStation bandwagon.

I know that things have been bad recently, but fuck off bothering me, things are going to get better.

Beyond!
