D pad still in the main control position and with a chunkier pad it will be even more retrictive to use

Destructoid's PlayStation 4 controller image leak is more significant than overnight reports have suggested. Our sources confirm that what you're actually looking at is a complete Orbis dev kit - our first look at what we believe is advanced development hardware.

So, built in speaker, headphone socket, move tracking, youch pad and looks like a curvier version of teh dualshock. I'm game.

It looks comfortable. It's not how it looks, it's how it feels in the hands that matters.

edit - this looks sexy:

sources are saying it has spring loaded l2 and r2 triggers.

The mock up of the touch pad is nice but we don't know if it can display images yet.

Not keen on the re-design of the sticks. Too xbox-like.
It's the only way to go so you can keep the tip of your thumb on it.
Put your thumb on the ps3 pad and go round in 360 degrees and do the same with the xbox pad and come back and tell me which is better.
ThierryHenry it certainly is. My four year old nephews prefer the ps3 pad though for their little hands. Perfectly tailer made for tiny hands.

still no decent look at the new triggers

They better not be curved in again. Or would curving them out like they should be to much like the xbox Ali_BWFC

I found the PS3 controller felt really cheap and too lightweight, but seeing as this one has a touch screen in it I guess it will feel a bit more weighty.

You must be referring to the original sixaxis that came without rumble. i had no issues with it tbh and its the pad I've used since i bought my ps3.

Just fyi it is said to be a touchpad not touchscreen.

the original was ridiculously light, but I found the dualshock to be just right.

the thumb stick have been redesigned due to a high number of complaints Sony received about thumbs slipping off them

not sure about a touch screen on the pad, it will kill a battery to have a decent resolution screen especially considering that it looks like there's a speaker on the pad as well.

as stated. it's rumoured to be a touch pad not a touch screen, so like the reverse of the vita.
