Release List:

During Negotiation Rounds, as well as Releasing players from their contracts immediately you also have the option to add to the 'Release List'.

It lets other clubs (i.e. the COM) that you want offers for these players. I think it's only explained in ML game itself under the option called 'About negotiations'.

It doesn't seem to affect the players' form or Teamwork ability.

Oh, one more thing about wages, in the 1st Division the weekly costs go down because the season lasts twice as long.

The default ML team in Div. 2 cost 638pts in its first week. A ML squad of 23 players I'd built up, with wages from 400 to 600, cost 478pts (edited to add, I meant 481pts!) in the opening week of the 1st Division.

I guess if I get relegated that weekly wage bill explodes - it doubles.

Cellini, What do U recommend should be the wages payed to players in D1 in a league game?

Are the wages for league and cup games the same?

Because the wages are worked out weekly, cup games are 'free' - you already paid them after the league match.

You can see the whole team I put together in the Lesser Lights thread: http://forum.pesinsight.com/showthread.php?t=4877&page=2

This is a budget team, with the emphasis on keeping it mainly Italian, and mainly good professionals rather than super-stars.

If you're winning most games comfortably you can afford to pay out more that I give to my squad, it works out at 481 pts a week - even a 1-1 draw gets me 399 pts, so I reckon I could bump along in mid-table, getting mixed results quite comfortably for a few seasons if necessary.

As a bit of advise (and to show off) trade Castolo for Saha straight away and then get Lee Chun Soo and this Korean keeper in exchange for Kelsen.
Instead of spending money, you might actually gain some because of the trades.

I've never gotten relegated but I got a game over because I bought Hayden Foxe by mistake. It put me in -2000 in the pre season period and made me unplesant to be around for an hour or so

Never been relegated, I don't think my pride would let me. :)

I have had to sell (Chiesa to Man Utd) during the off-season to get out of debt (over 14,000 pts) and avoid a Game Over.

Chiesa always brought in lots of offers, and I couldn't get the best out of him at the time anyway.

You've never heard of Enrico Chiesa?

At one point a couple of seasons ago he was the best finisher in Europe - then he broke a leg. At Fiorentina, he came back from injury and scored about 15 goals in 12-odd games.

You must've heard of Chiesa. He plays for Lazio now, who bought him from the fallen giants Fiorentina.

I've heard of him all right, partly because of that I bought him, but just couldn't avoid a Game Over unless I accepted Man Utd's offer.

A brilliant striker anyway.
