Guys please dont ignore this , can i get some feedback and testing ?

Im trying to figure out on which one is high priority , the ATTACK level cards or the Team sliders Player support ? Reason i ask is that when i put Ballack ( CMF) at Defense Priority, i did see hm make runs to the penalty box which i didnt want to see. Then i thought maybe it has to do with my team sliders so that is why i ask which part of the game has the higher priority and takes over the other settings.

What I am trying to do is this.... When having a 1 goal lead , i would like to stick to my 4-4-2 formation

RB , CB, CB, LB
CMF, CMF, CMF, CMF
SS, CF

I want the SB, and LB to stay back at all times and the two middle CMF's to stay back as well and not participate in the offense or make runs to the penalty box. I have tried putting them on DEFENSE priority but when I'm getting close to the top or bottom sides next to the penalty box for a cross , i see my LB or RB get close to the player with the ball which i ddont want that . I want them to stay near the half line .

wHEN I switched player roles from RB, LB to CB --- it worked as they just stayed with the other 2 CB's but as we all know that dropped their ratings .

Also when i changed BALLACKS role to DMF , he did stay back but as per the last sentence, his ratings dropped as well.

Anybody got any suggestions ?

A defensive minded CMF will still, as in real life, make the occasional forward run. A DMF will hardly ever do it. The cards and the sliders may help fine tuning a player behaviour but the most important aspect of the player positioning and attitude is the role, as it as always been in PES. The cards and sliders are aimed to replace (and develop) the arrows system.

I understand that part but what about if i want to keep LB or RB back to defend who dont have a PLAY card for covering ? I dont want to change their roles to CB's or need to change a whole team sliders based on 2 players that i just want to keep back to defend and not come up on offense.

Hi M8

you need to understand that LB and RB are definitely program to going forward from time to time.
If yu want them to stay in def. line you have to place them as a CB
And its not important that they will lose some points from them rank, cos it is dont have matter at all in this PES.
