Any ideas? I thought it needed the software to be honest with you but if that's the case and i dont need it, then what am i doing wrong?? Pls help i really appreciate it.
I'll try and help mate!
Start from scratch.. the windows error message that came up ..was that when you tried to install the software... on your pc?.. this again might sound daft but you did use the correct MD software disk didn't you?
the MD PC & PS2 software disks that come with your max drive adaptor are remarkably similar..so just check and try again.. next.. try and install the max drive software that comes on the pc disk.. try and do this before you plug in the max drive to the usb port on your pc.
Go onto the forum and select the file you want.. transfer/download the file to a safe place on your pc for the time being.
Restart your pc and plug in your max drive adaptor.. when the pc has finished loading try and download/transfer the file from your pc to the max drive adaptor in your usb port... then load your software (if installed) and open your drive for your adaptor.. check that the filename on the adaptor matches the one you downloaded.
Close your software down and remove your adaptor.
Next load up your ps2 with ps2 max drive software cd.
your Memory card and adaptor should also be plugged in and ready to go. When you get to main screen go to my devices and select the adaptor make sure to leave it a few seconds.. well a minute or two.. because theres a magnifying glass that scans the adaptor as its reading (I.e it doesnt just show straight away).. next transfer/copy your data from adaptor to memory card..
Uncrush the files from your memory card and the data will now be availabe to use.. Also be aware that PES5 only supports one option file so you'll need to transfer your old option file to your max drive if you still want to keep it..
I hope this helps if not.. PM me.. i'll try and help all i can.. it isnt that complicated to work out .. although.. if its a system problem with windows.. then.. thats another thing entirely..
Au Revoir for now monsieur
