Please Help!!! My patched game simply wont work...

I have done all the steps and burned the patch using Nero. I have a flip top lid and when i run the game it just wont work. I am using Jonnyboys patch or at least trying to!

are you using swap magic discs?

i use the slide card with swap magic discs, and i think the image file is too big.

i haven't been able to get it to work, i'd love to know if there is a way

If WE7I: ONLY 28.02.04

Whilst at our neighbour EVO-WEB, I came across the idea of how to patch the reduced size of WE7I. With one of the rip kit provided. I used Jay Jays Rip Kit.

1) I got the original P.I.M.P Bin
2) I downloaded Jonboyos Patch and applied it to the original P.I.M.P bin.
3) Then I extracted SOME of the contents of the .Bin. I extracted the DATE_E_AFS.
The only Big AFS FIle to extract and all the rest of the little files. Also leave out Dummy.Bin. If you download the JAy Jay Rip Kit, all should instructions should be their. Create a folder in the C Drive called "WE7I". Extract the contents in their.
4) Exract the contents of the Rip Kit rar to WE7I folder.
5) Press the bat file and an iso should be made. Be aware of any errors that occur and feed them back to me here.
6)Open up CDMage, open the iso file created in "WE7I". Then press save as:... then select your name for your cue and then press save. On the next screen, select the track type. Its the bottom of the drop down menu! Im on my laptop so I cant access my BIG DATA!
7) You should be presented with a .bin file of a patched game of WE7I.
8)Burn using alcohol 120% using the playstation 2 setting!

Play the New Jonboyo patch using your slide card or flip top!

You may need CDMAGE Beta Version!

Then:

Basic instructions on how to patch this [by Zyg] - FORUM KING!

1. In CDMage open the bin of your image.
Right click on data_e.afs and click Extract.
This will take a while and it's over 500MB.

2. Use ppfomatic to apply the patch to the date_e.afs you just extracted.
2b. Then apply the jb9.3.04we7iFIX patch the same way.

3. Right click on the data_e.afs in CDMage (I leave it open from before) and click on Import -> Import the one you just extracted and patched onto it.

4. Right click on the OVER.AFS file and import the new one.

5. Right click on the SLPM_654.97 file and import the new one. Done. Scan and/or burn.

6) Burn using Alcohol 120% using the Playstation 2 option.

The game is Pro Evolution and I have followed the guide on this forum.

I have a flip top and am using the swap magic 3.00 disk.

I have used countless disks and its starting to burn a hole in my pocket.

The steps seem to go okay but when i get to the CDRWIN. I think this is because my writer will not run at the required 1X which is surprising as it is a Pioneer 106 DVD writer. I tried nero and loaded the .cue file and it seems to work okay but when i run it on my ps2 it just wont work.

The patch is Jonnyboy 5.1.04 .......

just a little clarification

1. which jonboyo patch are you referring to in step #2?
2. on step #3, you extract only data_e.asf, none of the other language files, and then every other file, EXCEPT the dummy.bin is this correct??

Also, I only have the WE7:I jap dvd import, where would i get the original pimp bin? i have just been copying the files from the dvd directly....

we7i is it good when patched as i heard in one thread that konami did somin to make it ahrd top patch
