Hi guys I'm going to make faces tonight , meanwhile here is my tutorial to make faces (some asked me by pm) :
Well I used to work using paint shop and photoshop but it's just a matter of habit , so you can use photoshop only , it doesn't matter .
example : I'm going to make bassir's face .
1 - I open the pic of bassir , It's important to choose a straight face . It's also better if the pic isn't small (bassir's one is unforunately) , It wouldn't have the same quality even if you resize the pic (It would just make pixels bigger) .
2 - Using graphic studio , I look for the most suitable mdl . you can chosse any mdl but the most suitable it is the less work you'll have to do with oedit . for my example , edmilson's face is cool . I extract the bin and the bmp of edmilson and rename it .
3 - I open the bmp (paint shop or photo shop) and in bassir's pic , I select the face only rectangle :
4 - Now I notice that bassir and edmilson dont have the safe skin color and since I'll need a part of edmilson's bitmap I load y palette wich I saved before (load any yxxx's bitmap and save it's palette) . after loading the palette , edmilson become less pink .
5 - now look at this :
I select in edmilson's bmp the zone wich corresponds to the croped selection of bassir's pic and keep in memory the with and lenght down left .
6 - I resize bassir's croped selection .
7 - Now I make edmilson's bmp be 16mega colors :
8 - now the job will be to select bassir's face parts and paste it into edmilson's bmp . In orther to havethe parts at the right place I use my fingers (the hand wich isn't holdin the mouse of course) marking for example the border of the eyes or middle of the mouth ...
It should look like that (I'm lucky , bassir and edmilson have the same nose lenght) :
9 - Now I need photoshop's finger (I wrote in frenchdoigt means finger and tirer la peau means draw the skin):
10 - Now I go back to paint shop . I know it's stupid cause I used to do what photoshop can do since i just change brightness , contrast and color balance so I can have clean bmp after loading the palette . that's the needed result :
11 - Now It's the Oedit job . I modify the renamed bin wich I extracted before . I change details using oedit and looking at the pic . There isn't really something to explain since it's just moving point but it's not easy to have the result .
anyway here are the needed commands :
ctrl w : zoom in
ctr q : zoom out
ctrl+ mouse slide to move the face in orther to have a view into the needed part .
if you want to move many points at the same time click on "select" choose the points and click on "move" so you can move these points with a mouse slide . It's usefull if you need to move the whole mouth or make the nose bigger .
To unselect one selected point press shift and click on the point .
well these are the commands I think about now but it helps getting familiar with oedit .
12- I finished my oedit job , now I import my bin into an unusefull bin (for exampe a face of a player who already have a star face) I open the made bmp and insert it into imported bin . maybe in game you can notice it's better to change this or that (there is always something to change but ones have to learn when to stop

) .
