I've said before, it doesn't help things at all. The situation has already been discussed with Sweey, and it won't be stuck.

Just because a thread is marked as "IMPORTANT READ THIS ZOMG," it won't stop first-time posters just signing up and hitting the New Thread button to get their question answered. They're not going to worry about rules/the pinned stuff if all they want is an Option File before leaving and never coming back.

complaint to this forum

:realmad:eek:kay fair enough, if the admins dont want to sticky this, we'll just have to keep bumping this thread. and i suppose bumping is an offence ere, maybe ill take my resources somewhere else,or not bother at all!!!!
im not letting the time i did this just to help ppl on here, go to waste down the list, especially if ppl find this helpfull.(you stickyd suv thread whats that got that will stop ppl posting for names!)
maybe baddar if you did a better job at keeping these forums tidier you may not have this problem. Like who needs a sticky on you introducing yourself lol...Maybe the fact that it IS messy is because there is no stickys for newbies and such to view....

ive tried to help ppl because theres a lack of it from the admins, what else can i do. As i said baddar if you want to ban me go ahead, and tbh honest i dont blame you, these are strong words. Im just one for saying how i feel and im just voicing my opinion!
You keep telling me i dont have to worry (trust me im not worried!) doesnt help anyones questions get answerd. and i know how it feels to be ignored and your questions not answered. (at pesfan)
Dont let this site turn into another pesfan please...

Shame i thought this website was different to pesfan's admins of misery, hence coming here in the first place..--- dan

You're missing the point completely. I haven't said that this isn't a useful thread, because it is. But just because it's useful, it doesn't mean it should be stuck.

The established members here know what questions have been asked before, yourself included. After all, you were so annoyed about seeing the same questions cropping up, you made this thread. Yes, it is helpful, but it doesn't solve the problem because most of them are n00b questions and they head straight to the New Thread button as soon as they join, regardless of what has been pinned.

Suv's thread is pinned because it helps the more established members here build their option files from scratch and do the editing side of things themselves, something I know a lot of people enjoy doing. Not everyone likes downloading the brilliant files made by yourself/Von/Liam and the like.

If you're worried about the thread moving down the list, don't double post or bump it. Why not leave a link in your signature? You post here often enough for people to notice the link. That way the thread will always get exposure.

Now onto the forum being "messy". I don't see it. The introductory message from myself has been pinned because I stepped in as someone who would sort this section of the board out. Before I showed up it was getting little or no attention. Now I'm here every single day moving and deleting threads, not to mention changing the names of the unmarked ones so that you know what platform a file is for before you enter the thread. Not only that, the amount of PM's I've received from you just to change the title of your Option File must have hit double figures by now, yet still I changed the name of it for you as soon as I could.

So just because something hasn't gone your way, please don't insult me by saying how much of a shit job I'm doing. Because I know for a fact if I was to sticky this thread, your opinion of me would change immediately.

After talking to Don Sweey, a board Admin and the guy who brought me in to begin with, this thread will not be pinned. End of story.

Ive taken baddars side of story into consideration, and ive decided to quit this forum sorry. I respect him as an admin, even if i think his forum housekeeping skills could do with some work. But ay ive tried to aid him (all vo being unwanted help) and its come to nothing more than "another" thread. Ive got other ethings in my life to attend to right now, and im not wasting anymore time here...
Ill post up my 1.20 version of update (info here below) , on monday. As then i believe ive finished what ive started.
this may seem OTT to some people but ive been left somewhat annoyed by this.
Just want to say thank s to everyone here for the support and stuff, hope ive helped as much as i can to whoever i helped.
So long
Arsenaldan

A new update file will be released by this maintenance between 10:00 - 12:00 on 10/11/2008 (GMT).

The following features will be added by this update file:
1) 2 new features "Replay Upload" and "Theatre of Legends" for Legends Mode.
2) A new Download feature in the System Settings, used for updating various game data.

* Please note that both "Replay Upload" and "Theatre of Legends" will be selectable after the maintenance.

* Unless you update the game by selecting "Download" from Systems Settings, you won't be able to play against customers who have already applied the update.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences caused and hope that you can make the most of the new features.

Waiting....
If you can't make it a sticky, would it not be possible to have it pop up when someone presses New Thread? I remember we used to have a message that came up in the past, suggesting people make sure they're posting in the correct forum. In the same way, maybe you could suggest people try this thread (or first post, at least) before proceeding to create a thread.

If that is indeed possible, I wouldn't mind looking into it. It'd be something done by an Admin though, not me.

Still, it's a good idea.

Solid idea imo Dragonfly. That should make a dent in the duplicated threads if certain helpful threads cant be pinned for whatever reason. Definitely a good idea.:)
Also it would be a real shame to lose arsenald as he's been a really big help to alot of people on here imo.:(
