poor perfomance by Konami - no nippon challenge

Hello all!

well, after playing WE9 I finally can play PES5. But to be honest I think it is a poor perfomance by Konami. Ok, the gameplay improved well but on WE9 there was a "Nippon Challenge" (bring Japan to the WK). So I thought: great, now we also can do this great extra with The Netherlands, Italy and so on. What did I see!? No Challenge at all!. Unbelievable and I big shame.

Anyone agrees with me?

yeah...it would be really good to take Italy or brazil to the World Cup and not just Japan...they suck!!!

The gameplay in WE9/PES5 is awesome, huge upgrade and fantastic showing here, but I do believe they dropped the ball on options, extras, etc... an upgrading of the game's features would've been nice.

Think gameplay improvements were key in this release over game features to be honest. Doesnt really bother me if we dont have nippon challange. The thread starter nearly got me worried with his 'poor performance by konami title'. Thought it was some huge bug or terrible gameplay prob or something.

Yeah I agree too, Nippon Challenge should have been changes to Go for WCup or something. But then KOnami are too lazy to add teams, and they have infact swapped teams in and out. Putting the feature in would require at minimum 100's of additional teams.

May make an appearance again in WE9I come February. The'd be silly not to capitalize on WCUP 06. EA would definitely be rolling out FIFA WCUP06 by then.

Other than that, PES5 is a good game , way way better than PES4.

Thats good idea.
I hope so in PES 6 they will have the world cup qualifier stage mode.
And also all club teams fully official license

Does Nippon Challenge mean taking Japan to the world cup, or is it more like a general challenge mode. It sounds like something from ISS3. There you had to beat teams 3-0, win with a free kick, win with a penalty etc starting in the second half. You had to win the free kicks, penalties etc. To be honest it was just annoying, so if thats what it is, i wouldn't lament its omission.

I totally agree that Konami is a bit lazy with the international mode. They should do some effort too make it more interesting like some world cup mode, with qualification etc.

Why don't they put the next game on 2 cd's, one with clubs and master League and National league edit etc, and cd2 national teams with all cups and tournaments but you ll be able to use the same option file.

it shouldn't be a problem for Kcet to make this because all 5 years they got the same database for international teams only chnge the rosters every year!!

Doesn't anyone here find PES5 a tad too fast? I got used to playing WE9 and now PES5 seems to be very fast, which I don't really like.

I think a good idea would be u have your master league and aswell as playing with your club team u have to play with a national side of your choice, you would have to pick your team and do the training and stuff like that. It would be good i think

I think PES 5 are a bit faster than WE9.

Actually don't care about the Nippon Challege.
cos nothing special inside.
I would prefer if there is more improve in Master League.
