Konami Press Release said:
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that it will release PES 2009 for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360, PC-DVD, PlayStation®2, and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) this Autumn in Europe. PES 2009 is the latest installment of the award-winning Pro Evolution Soccer Series, which is known by millions of fans for its superior gameplay and incredible realism. For PES 2009, Konami is already planning a raft of extensive new additions that will further bridge the gap between PES and the real thing. The new game has undergone a stunning graphical update to ensure its players look and move even more like their real-life counterparts. Similarly, all-new options allow users to tailor the game to their own tastes, while new moves, innovative new control elements and key online elements will further the realism of the new game.

“The announcement of a new PES game is always a highlight for Konami, but PES 2009 looks set to reaffirm the series’ utter superiority,” commented Jon Murphy, PES Project Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “We are committed to extending the realism of the new game with a wealth of key gameplay additions, and will produce a football title that truly embodies all the skill and pace that is good about the modern game.

Is it me or does the Stadium in the bottom left look like Old Trafford?

Does this mean one of the Licensed teams is Man Utd?

EDIT: MENT BOTTOM LEFT

Definetely you, looks nothing like Old Trafford. ;)

These pictures are starting to get me hyped already, I really love the look of the stadium in the bottom left. Reminds me of a traditional English stadium to be honest, as soon as I saw it I thought Goodison Park for some reason. I really do hope they've included a vast array of stadia for this Pro Evo though, having 9 I think it was in 2008 was appalling. I want at least 16 to be brutally honest, and some shit stadiums too, as in something to start out with for a Master League run.

On another note, anyone notice the football ? I think it looks quality. On PES 2008, the default ball was shit and blue to be fair which was a stupid decision. However here, it looks perfect, mainly white with a thin fancy red swirl around it. Looks like Konami have there head screwed on this time.

Also when I was looking at the kits in the pictures (not Argentina/Brazil), I originally thought it was licensed teams I've never seen before. But it seems like they're Konami default kits, which hopefully means that they've brought back the Random Selection Match ?

either that or the random new teams you can start with on the master league.

Viperized - I thought that about that particular shot, looks exactly like 2008, but the other shots look better...

The only thing that's got me half excited thus far is the grass...

haha same here! Particularly in the wide stadium shots - it's never looked anywhere near as good as that on other versions. We might finally get the grass we've waited for!

Looks abysmal.

i rekon that this image is from the PS2 version. it looks like it and they needed to give them PS2 owners something to look at. those beautiful other pics though are the 360.

If its not the PS2 version i might just throw-up into a bucket

There is no way that is PS2 - go look at the high-res version. It looks like PES 2008 on XBox 360 (I can't comment on PS3) to me.

The other "shots" are probably from some sort of intro video.
