I think the change in balls is just for the look and doesn't change the way it moves.

DIfferent features on different balls seems like avery good idea as it makes the game get that added feeling of realness and also they in future games as it is too late now during the summer months the ball should ping around like mad and bounce everywhere whereas in heavy rain the ball should sumtimes drop and not move in turrential rain
