I was thinking maybe Konami could make a separate game for the BAL mode. Sorry, I'm abit obsessed with the mode :D

Some features that can be included maybe:

-GTA like environment, travel to your training ground or etc.
-Give interviews or comments
-Have reputations
-Money to spend on buying performance drinks or boots maybe
-Girlfriends! :w00t

Well I used to play this game call New Star Soccer and it was quite fun. Thought maybe BAL mode can be more in depth, with PS3 specs, it is possible. What do you guys think? Or am I living in fantasy island?

Driving to training would be dull as fuck, may i also suggest that you go and get a real girlfriend instead of wanting one on a football video game

i like the sound of a gta style open world when you dont have to turn up to training but outside of the football you'd be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for ideas of whats to do that aint boring.

How about adding in a managerial option when you retire? Or better yet add in a player-manager option to older players. I know I would love to play a Master league with all the players of the team and I just retired from :)

I already have. You don't have to suggest me anything about how to lead my life, eh? This ain't Mars and Venus forum.

That's a good idea, also maybe the team could use you as the coach of the training squad first, and if you're doing well, then give you the head coaching job.

About girlfriends: in a game like this, it would only be good for one thing. Having a son based on your stats effected by the girlfriend you chose, and keep on playing with him after you retire. It's a simple addition, and adds longevity to the game.

As I said before, I don't think any 3D environment is needed outside of the stadiums, I'd only use a personal website with pictures and maybe some videos using the in-game engine. You could arrange your sponsor deals, shopping, etc from there. A full GTA-esque city is too much to ask for imho, it'd take a lot of time to create that, and in the end, it's still a football game.

maybe the time we normally spend in the menu could be time at home? a home that you bought with your salary, there could be a house phone to negotiate deals, speak to the press, or a computer to respond to e-mails or go internet shopping for new equipment, gym equipment perhaps, to work on your stamina whilst you're not at training. or to order takeaways and watch your player bloat? or to search for a new house, one with a swimming pool which you can use to increase your fitness.

Use e-mail and text to respond to team mates, managers or the press about speculation of offers from other clubs. or to quash rumours that you were in a strip club on match day?!

Well there are a few thing that could easily be done in PES.

When you are 17 you probably play in the youth team. Play well and get promoted to reserve team and play well there go to 1st team OR transfer to lower clubs.

I for one would be happy playing regular in a lower team(Swansea or QPR hehe) and if im not good enough never will play elsewhere. This would make the game a real challenge and only you guys that are good will ever play at a national squad.

That's pretty much how Madden NFL 07-08 Superstar mode works. That mode has a few huge issues (boring training 3 times every week with no real effect on the player, no results or stats for any other game than your own, etc), but a lot of the ideas are decent.

I'd love that too, but I'm pretty sure that would be impossible because of loading times. The database would have to be updated every single week, and too many leagues would kill the game. Maybe in a few years, who knows.

Maybe. But itll be here sooner or later maybe as a totally new game. But THAT would be awsome. No sims just focus on the football.

Possible Master League improvements:

Sensible World of Soccer had a great player/manager thing going on. If you weren't playing too well and were at the wrong end of the table, the chairmen would have a word and tell you that you had 3 games to turn it around or you'd be sacked.
Like BAL mode, you'd also get offers from other clubs and even the National team.

Overall, just a more in depth ML mode. Pounds instead of points would be a good start.

Does any1 remember ISS for the N64 where there was a career mode, you could have a girlfriend and you had to chose how to spend your week, you could go training, shopping, out with friends or girlfriend, this then had effects on things such as your morale and skill. Then at the end of your career the aim was to have broken into the national team. Surely Konami could have put some of these features into PES 2009?

Maybe they will in 2010 but I'm sure they just wanted to see how well BAL 09 appealed to people first.
