With North Vs South 2006 approaching fast, we’re pleased to announce five further events in conjunction with Virgin Megastores that offer you the chance to pick up more vital Pro Evo Rankings points. Taking place in some of the biggest cities in the UK and Scotland these events offer you a quick way to accumulate some bonus Rankings scores.
The format is simple. Starting at 10am each day, a maximum of 16 players will compete in a one hour tournament. A new tournament will take place on the hour, every hour until the last one starts at 5pm. Prizes will be awarded to the winner in addition to their Rankings points.
Players can enter as many tournaments as they like in one day, however only a certain amount of pre-registration places will be made available beforehand. There will be a small amount of places allocated on the day to those who turn up without registration. Again, these players can play as many times as they like in a day providing the space is available. Players who have not yet taken part in a tournament on any specific day will obviously get priority over those that haven’t.
Each hourly tournament will consist of 16 players competing in a five minute, International team, straight knockout tournament. The standard rules and defaults will apply and can be seen by
clicking here or reading them on the day.
As a special bonus to those competing in the London leg of the Tour on the 18th May, Virgin are offering each of the first seven winners of the day the chance to meet Pele who is attending a book signing at their sister store in Piccadilly that very afternoon. As well as being whisked to the front of the queue to give you the chance to meet one of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen, each of the winners will get themselves a free signed copy of his book.
The runners up from the day will also be given the chance to meet the man himself with a priority wristband gaining entrance and will have the chance to buy a book for him to sign. If that isn’t incentive enough to register, then what is!
