Thanks for the comments, I have bought PES now (got it with the new CoD for £55 total), and it's going to take a lot more games for me to get used to it.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that yeah, there's obvious flaws, but I'm enjoying the passing (simply because its easier to get the ball away from a defender). My only gripe at the moment is the shooting, unless I'm doing it wrong there doesn't seem to be any swerve on shots, that said, FIFA always amplified the swerve so it's probably the lesser of two evils.

And don't worry, I don't judge the game on the animations

PES 2011 does have its flaws. Especially the cursor change as mentioned. But I still prefer it, as I play football games for the sole reason of multiplayer, and PES's gameplay is ridiculous enough for some hilarious games.

Take it from a guy in your exact situation a few days ago,

I bought PES 2011 from Zavvi.com for £17.99 (now £29.99) and havn't touched FIFA 11 since. The gameplay is just so much better and more varied.

To sum up FIFA 11:

Pressure, pressure, pressure, pass, pass, lost possesion, gained possesion, pressure pressure pressure, 1-2 lobbed through ball, goal.

Repeat.

As the guy above mentioned, EVERY game is the same, wether it's Chelsea vs Barcelona, or Arsenal v Rochdale.

PES 2011 (my first ever PES since PES 5), is different every match, which is why I am having so much fun in Master League. You feel like you've earned a goal, because every goal is different and unique. It also has that unpredictability of how the match will turn out.

Get it, play it for a couple of days to get the bad animations syndrome out of your system and the game will open up and feel great.

Go download yourself the option file for correct names/kits and you will love it.
