Yes, it is true...

Once you press start button, you send a request to other player to accept it. Once he does, the ball NEEDS to go out of play for menu to show up. Menu is timed, so you can't just take your time. There is also timer for free kicks and corners etc... after the timer elapses the player will automatically take the action.

After you use all three "timeouts" you get message that you can't request it anymore.

I have played a copied version of Pro Evo 4, and while some of the gameplay was sublime, there was really bad slow down on the version I played. It was a copy, but it definately said 'Pro Evolution Soccer 4' on the menu screen. Also I noticed one on ones were very hard to score from, and players seem to fall over quite easily, usually resulting in a foul. On the plus side, the players did seem far more individual than in previous Pro Evo/Iss incarnations, and I had a great time showing off my silky skills with Henry. For the record, I won all my games 1-0, 6-0 and 8-0. I played the same bloke in all the games though, so he must have been pretty shit ;)

I just hope the official version doesn't suffer from the slow down, because, without wanting to be too much of a party pooper, it was VERY noticable in the copy I played. My PS2 isn't chipped, so I'll be buying it myself when it comes out in a couple of weeks :)

some people have said it depends on your settings for TV 60hz or 50hz

i played it briefley at gamestars live and i would agree that this looks like we coluld have perfection on a disc.
