Pro Evolution 5 Problem!!!

Up until about 3 weeks ago pro evolution 5 was working grand on my computer.I used to play it on 800 by 600 resolution and medium detail.My computer is 1.8ghz with 256mb and a NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 graphics card.

Around this time i installed some programs like ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm firewall.Some times i load Pro Evo 5 and a black screen appears and the game doesnt load up and i have to turn off my computer.Other times the game loads up ok but when i load up my Master League and go to change players in my team.I move the cursor down through the players names and then the game just stops and freezes up.The music stays playing.Other times i get to start up the match but the game freezes on the replay when ive scored a goal.

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it was no help.Can anyone see what the problem might be?It was working fine,but it just stopped workin all of a sudden.Could the programs i installed be the problem?Ive since removed ZoneAlarms firewall but the problem persists.

Please help,i need to play Pro Evolution 5.im bored.

i had the same problem i have the same chip speed and memory and 256graphics card and the game works fine for a few weeks but when i install some other programs the game goes REALLY slow and i even got the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) on xp which aint no good ) and the game make my pc run like a granny carrying a bag of bricks up hill, all that leads to is a good old format!!! all i can say is that this type of game just aint worth playing on the pc too many things can go wrong with the game or machine, unless your willing to get a faster chip but its just not worth it it will be cheaper to buy a ps2 or xbox and the game, i just bought it on the ps2 and put my pes5 pc game in a cupboard never to be looked at again *sob*sob*

the game is much much much better on the ps2 by the way, if you do ever get pes5 for it get the kit updates it makes the game phenomenal much faster and no need to worry if the pc is going to die hahaha

i completely disagree. as a computer technician if you take care of your pc then it'll last. if you dont then it will have problems 24/7 and will sht you off. Also pes5 is a lot better on PC for this reason.

+ Better graphics
now you might think that "same game same graphics" but on pc you can turn on your AA(anti aliasing) and AF (anistropic filtering iirc). this allows more sharper images and better quality. (but you'll need a powerful video card to run 8X AA and 16X AF. Also on PS2 it'll look bad because you are running it through a tv via RCA or Svideo (not sure). TV images are very poor and it'll only look as good on pc if you have it on a HDTV.

maybe your windwos is corrupt?? or you have bad sectors on your hdd.

The problem had nothing to do with my computer specifications.Ive since fixed it.It was a problem with my options file.There were too many replays in my save folder.I think its a bug with the game.
