boo to saving for 2 years for the PS3!! Reckon if Pro Evo does come out on the PSP it will look pretty cool and play just as well as on PS2. Konami have been making this game for too long to mess it up now, theyve never taken a backward step with any of the incarnations thusfar, imho :)

PS3 is due for release in about a year, maybe less in Japan. Sony should have it on display at the computer shows this year. Apparently, PES5 will be the last game solely for PS2.

But isn't it annoying to stare at tiny players though? Your eyes would just pop out and bleed badly :p

yea, thats true. sports sims are suppose to be played on big screens, or HD tv for more realism.

You would be complaining if, like me, you had a rip-off mortgage to pay as well! ;) To be honest, although £199 is a fair price, i've never been a great fan of handhelds. I think you need some time away from playing games when you leave the house, but i suppose it is useful when you go on holiday or long boring journeys.

The big screen of the PSP isn't covered, I'm afraid that it will get damaged pretty soon. Where do you leave your PSP when you stop playing? If you stuff it in your backpack it will get scratches.

there is a cover you can get for it. seen some on ebay. work like a cover for mobile phones. apparently the PSP is multi region gaming as well (Universial Media Disc), so can play games from anywhere in the world. I'm well excited, but wanna wait for confirmed date of Pro Evo first b4 commit myself.

I bought the PSP a couple of weeks ago. Got it from someone is Japan and it cost £200 for the value pack and also included Ridge Racer and a screen protector. If someone is thinking of buying one then get a screen protector with it as otherwise it'll get scratched. The system itself is awesome. I have only got RR at the moment but the graphics and gameplay are awesome. The graphics are are on a par with PS2.

My machine doesn't have any dead pixels, but i have read elsewhere that some people have suffered with this problem.

Is is better than the DS? In my opinion it is but I guess in the end it comes down to personal preference. If you are a fan of the nintendo games such as "mario" etc then the DS is for you, if you want a machine which delivers unbelievable graphics, mp3 playback and UMD movies then go for the PSP.

the only people who slate the psp are people who cannot afford one pure and simple. The graphics are nothing short of breathtaking and the quality screen shows them off emmensely. Fifa although crap is more demanding on hardware and if you see it running on psp its almost a direct port!! im quite confident a game to the standard of pro evo 3 would be easily ported and how can playing that on the move be a bad thing. i have always liked handhelds from the gameboy right through and i now have ds and psp and can honestly say that these are unliek any handheld console thats gone before, the ds is a new experience but the psp reaches standards of the current consoles. The wireless gaming is superb and will feature on fifa. Paticulary on ds its impecable after its loaded you can play for hours with no slow down at all. Dont slag something you havent even tried, because humble pie will be the dish of the day when you do!!!!
